Wales

Here's my belated postcard from Wales. As my two charactors are musicians my first thought was that it seems like everyone in Wales can sing, they have such wonderful male voice choirs. The music background is actually the Welsh National Anthem, Land Of My Father(s) but I could not get a clear print of it, it is in the Welsh language too. Just added a few things that are particularly Welsh, the national flower, the Welsh dragon and the Welsh costume. Things are hotting up for Elsie and Edward but just remember this is back in the thirties when romances moved on a little slower !

ps: last weeks belated postcard is below

  1. Hello Joan
Well this is a wonderful, and how I can relate, as I was born in Wales and I wore my National Costume proudly on MARCH 1st
(St Davids Day) as did most of Wales and still do I think. I can still sing the National Anthem in Welsh too.....(Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau) and I still have my Accent.
I remember taking my two girls back home, for them to learn about my Welsh Heritage, but I was disappointed as they could not relate to how I felt, they were born in New Zealander, I should have realised that it would be different for them.
Anyway Joan I am rambling as the Welsh tend to do, I love this Post card.
    Smiles:)
