Well back from London ,hectic time there, packed a lot into our few days and the weather was very kind to us too but I'm glad to be home again, I'm just a country bumpkin at heart and find the crowds and traffic and noise all too much for me ! Mojo is still on vacation but I did manage to knock together this little card for our Great grandaughter who will be three next week. The reason for the heading is that all the papers were free in a Making Cards magazine and the stamp was free from Creative Stamping magazine too.
Fashionable Stamping challenge last week asked for ice cream colours, I'm not really an ice cream fan, when I do have ice cream it has to be a chocolate coated one, Magnum or my favourite very dark chocolate bournville ones, sometimes I'll have a coffee one or when I can find it Maple Syrup ! none of these colours make for a very exciting colour scheme so I had to include a little pink although I really can't stand strawberry icecream . My card also follows Try It On Tuesdays sketch. I had been messing about trying to make vellum poinsettias so the flowers are left overs from that. The papers are all freebies from a magazine. We are off to London on Monday for a few days so won't be any crafting and worst of all I won't have any internet access ! I'm hoping I come back with a bit more energy and inspiration.
Nautical.......... The Alphabet challenge is N for Nautical so here is my lovely clipper ship sailing the ocean blue. The image is from t'internet, think it could be from Dover Publications?, background paper which doesn't really show up is from a Debbie Moore mag, I scanned it and changed the colour for this card, the compass stamp is a very old one from Stampabilities and the passport etc is from an old collage stamp which I dismounted and forgot to note the makers name. I'm just so tired this week I am really struggling to do anything, mind is willing but the body weak !
I'm sure I cropped this picture but I must have forgotten to apply the crop ! Well my blog has been well and truly neglected but hope I can get back to posting more stuff soon. I managed to complete my total of selling 100 cards for our Wednesday group charity (Parkinsons disease) Its taken up a lot of my time and the staff in the hairdressers shop want me to continue but after this week I'm not doing any more as I need to do other things ! Made this little Christmas card using the double sided clear sticky paper and white glitter and I love the snowy effect. The background is another new Justrite stampers background stamp, the tree is from Stampin Up. Appropriately this card fits Samuel Taylors's challenge for Blue & White Christmas card ( I bought the stamp from their shop) also entering it at Stamps & fun= Creativity - Christmas In August
