Bit of music

Had a bit of a play with these old stamps from the Stamp Man and some music paper from the lovely Prima Finnabair paper pad.  I am still on with the making cards for men/boys and I always think these stamps lend themselves to that theme, another four male birthdays in March and then just a couple in April so just about sorted now . Scraps

This card is made up with bits and pieces from earlier projects(or playing in other words)  Saw a challenge on Technique Tuesday for shaving foam paper so the daisy panel is stamped and embossed  on a piece of it ,coloured with mica paints. The background paper is from a gelli plate play overstamped with a very old Hero stamp and the butterfly was in a box of bits and pieces. I really need to use up some of this stuff but I just seem to accumulate more and more ............

Cameo

                    I love this stampendous stamp but it's very large and I never quite know what to do with it, think this is only the second time I have used it, when I saw the challenge at Simon Says stamp I knew I had to dig it out and have another play with it. This is a one layer card (apart from the flowers) stamped onto a piece of  paper from Prima Finnabair paper pad, yet another lot of papers that I am being miserly with, don't know why as there are three sheets of each design so plenty to go at! The flowers are heartfelt creations sunkissed fleur.

This started out as a card but its quite large so I am going to use it as a book cover for a new notebook I am starting, wish lists at one end and hints/tips and things I want to try at the other end, I keep seeing ideas but if I don't write it down forget about it or how to do it, end up with scraps of paper all over my desk, we'll see how it goes ................

I Love Paris

I can't surely be the only one who is left cold by all the valentine stuff around ? seems to have been nothing else since Christmas !  however I have given a token nod to all this lurvve mania with a for nothing special card using the lovely Stampendous Paris stamp, not too happy with the vegetation in the corner but having stuck it all on with cosmic shimmer glue it was not for moving !  I'm trying to use some of my massive stack of 12x12 papers so these pieces are all odds and ends from various boxes.  Hope no one suffered damage in the horrible storms last night and my thoughts are with the people who are in the flood areas , can't begin to imagine how dreadful it must be.

Tied with a bow

I was tempted with this stamp from Kaisercraft, love their stamps and the fact that they are so sensibly priced too. I had been playing about making these bows so thought the two went well together, the flowers are heartfelt creations vintage floret which I just love too. The bow got a bit flattened in the scanner but its so much hassle to take a photo and upload it especially on these days when it never seems to get light. Musn't grumble about the weather, we have been lucky here compared to all the poor souls who have been flooded out of their homes and now the terrible storms too, really feel for them.

Feeling Blue

Originally made this card in different colours but decided I didn't like it and remade it in all blue which I liked  a lot better. We have been having internet problems on and off for the last couple of weeks and it has been all but impossible to upload anything, very frustrating but made me realise just how reliant I am on the internet, need to stop spending so long browsing and get on with making!

French cats ?

Well I'm not one for hearts and such normally but I really fell for this Marianne die with the two cats and they really needed a bit of romance around them. No good making a valentine card, OH would think I was off my head if I sent him one so settled for an anniversary card and I do know just the couple it will be going to. Bit of Paris DP and a doily heart. Branch and birds Memory box dies( Christmas present from a friend)Eiffel tower is also a Marianne die (courtesy of another friend)Not my usual kind of card but enjoyed the making of it.

colour challenge

A colour challenge at Our Creative corner asks for only blue, brown and purple/plum -no black lines, not colours I would usually put together although I do love blue and brown together and its harder than I thought not to have any black on there. All the stamping is done with memento rich cocoa and archival cobalt blue. The dress form is from the lovely free stamps with creative stamping magazine and the others are from Indigo blue . My faux sewing went a bit haywire but it would probably be just as wobbly if I had sewn it by machine, never quite manage to get a straight line when I try to sew on paper. You would not believe how long it took me make this card, I have really lost the creative plot these days mainly down to the side effects of various meds I have to take, seem to be in a permanent "fog" of indecision and procrastination ! but I'm not giving up yet !
