Sea views

Another card made with the latest stamps from Creative Stamping Magazine, I have loved playing with this stamp set and there are still a lot of the stamps I haven't used yet.  The DP is from the Nautical Signature Collection ( I wasn't buying any more papers but can't resist a bit of nautical!) I stamped , coloured and cut out the lighthouse scene and the bird (long tailed Skua) anchor is die cut and bit of mesh stuff from my stash.There are a lot of layers on this card , base card,blue mat,wood paper,scallop and plain ovals,cut out lighthouse and bird plus the netting and anchor so I'm entering this into the Male Room Challenge which is "Multiple  Layers"

We Three Kings

Nearly missed Rudolph Day, I seem to be playing catch up with everything these days, a quick card to make, background is pan pastels, every thing else is die cuts. The top panel is mounted onto silver mirri card and looks lovely but can't get a decent picture of it for here!.  I think I will be making a few of these as they are so quick and easy!  I know I have made some of these previously with glitter background but I don't seem to have blogged them.

Relax

With the horrible weather we are having at the moment it's more like November than June, still wearing winter clothes and putting the heating on.  I've made another card with the last lot of stamps that came with Creative Stamping , I keep saying I am not buying it anymore but then I see the stamps and into my basket it goes !I stamped the background DP with the beach huts from the set and the word Relax is also from it. I'd like to enter my card into Allsorts Challenge which is to use pastel colours

Material girl

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is Material Girl,  now is the chance to be feminine and fancy, add lace, ribbon,fabrics, stitching real or faux.   I have added lace, ribbon, a bow and fabric flower. The image was a freebie from Bumble Button a couple of years ago.embossing folder is Stampin Up. The design team have some fabulous inspiration over at the challenge blog so hope you will visit them and join in our challenge.

The Big Bunch

Well as the weather is so grey and miserable I thought I would go to town with some bright colours for my mid month card for Stamping Sensations challenge which is Show Your True Colours . I coloured this Woodware stamp with Pro markers for a change from my usual water colours.  There is still plenty of time to enter our challenge   as we are a stamping challenge your entry must have prominent stamping as the focal point.. Well I got carried away again and clicked the buy now button for this stamp!  I really don't know what I was thinking.  It took me ages to colour it and not made a very good job of it either, I did heat emboss it but even so I've got a couple of "bleeds"

It's a man's world

We have a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time it is "It's a man's world" . We want to see your projects for a men/boys of any age. The design team have some great samples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pop over to visit them.  Now I usually have no problem with stuff for men but was  clueless this time, in the end I have gone for a monochrome collage of  this guy's ideas rolling round in his head. A mix of stamps ,all old ones, some Elusive image and the rest Hero Arts.

I would love to be able to lie on a beach basking in the sun, almost forgotten what the sun looks like with the awful weather we are having  and more rain forecast for the rest of the week too, flaming June seems to be a total washout!

To The Lighthouse

I made this card for The Library challenge.  The inspiration book this time is To The Lighthouse, not a book I've read but I really liked the book cover so thought I would have a go. Well this is a very simple card but I have made and binned two others before this !  I will probably add a sentiment later .

This is the book cover. I had originally intended stamping the lighthouse on the striped background but then decided to go for a cleaner look.

Fantasy

I've not been able to do much crafting recently due to a very painful shoulder, I did get a steroid shot last Tuesday and it has helped but not as much as I hoped!. Today I was determined to try and get back to creating something so I settled on the Allsorts challenge which is Fantasy World. As usual I spent far too long procrastinating on what to use, fairies? Unicorns? gnomes ? finally settled on my favourite Stampendous  mermaid stamp, she is so pretty!  I spent ages colouring her tail with pearlescent paint and she is very sparkly IRL.  The seaweed etc is a Kaisercraft stamp and I added some bubbles from another set , a few sequins and a rusty anchor.

Sparkly Butterfly

Time again for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and this month we are asking you to show us your favourite colours . We are sponsored this month by Visible Image and there is a £25 voucher for their store to be won.  The background on my card is made with Brushos and they were not playing nicely for me for once ! I was aiming for a blue,green background so nearly got it eventually. Stamped Visible Image butterfly with black Versafine, heat set it and then stamped over it again with Versamark and embossed it with Kalaidescope E.P, its a lovely purple/blue and very sparkly. The wording is also a Visible Image stamp, I just added a few crystal gems to finish.  Hope you will join us in our challenge but please remember that we are a stamping challenge and the main focus of your entry must be stamped. Digi stamps are allowed as long as they are hand coloured.
