Autumn's beauty

 The new challenge at Try it on Tuesday is "Autumn's beauty". It doesn't look anything like Autumn here right now, trees are still in full leaf and not much hint of colour change yet, lots of summer plants still im full bloom.  My card this time is made mainly of bits and pieces from my file of left over bits but I did stamp the large back panel.  The design team have some lovely samples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.

On the home front, my husband is still not recovered from his fall back in June, they told us the fracture to his spine will heal on its own but at 94 years old its certainly taking its time! Not been too well myself so little time to craft or visit anyones blogs, waiting for yet another referral to hospital.  

Pretty Papers

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is "Pretty Papers ".  I very rarely make a card without stamping but here is my play with just papers.  The papers are all from a 12x12 pad I bought in The Works last year simply because the papers were so pretty. The background is all one piece , the centre piece ,the leaves and the extra roses cut from a second page.  I really must stop buying paper pads as I already have so many and hardly ever use them .  The design tean have some lovely samples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will visit them.

Emboss it

 Time for the new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we want to see embossing, either dry embossing or heat embossing,  I've used both on my card this time.  Apart from the embossing folder I've used,  everything else came out of  a file of bits and pieces , I think the stamp is an old Penny Black one and the wording is Hero Arts. Coloured the embossing folder with a dried up babywipe wrapped round my finger ! first time I've tried doing that and seemed to work quite well. Inspired by a song

 The challenge at Try it on Tuesday today is " Inspired by a song"  I'm not very up to date with music these days so I've gone with an Oldie, Girls just want to have fun by Cyndi Lauper. together with old stamps by Art Impressions .  the old girls look to be having a good time.  There are some lovely samples over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Make it colourful

 The new challenge at Try it on Tuesday is to Make it colourful so I've gone for these  cheerful daisies and a bright background for them.  The design tean have some lovely inpsiration for you over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.  My husband is still not well and I seem to have little time to craft these days but hopefully will get back in the game soon.

Summer blooms

 Whoops ! forgot to do my post for Try it on Tuesday challenge.  The new challenge is Summer Blooms. For my card I have gone with sunflowers which always shout summer to me ,the stamp is a Penny Black Ive had for quite a long time.  The design team have some lovely inspiration for you over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Animals

 Time for another challenge at Try it On Tuesday and this time is is " Animals"  for my card I have used another on my old Penny Black stamps with this cute little hedgehog.  I do have hedgehogs visit my garden every night for the water I put out for them, in return I hope they are going to eat all the slugs!

In My Garden

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is "In my garden" We welcome any kind of art as long as it follows the challenge theme.  For my card I have used a favourite Penny Black stamp I've had for quite a while.  My own garden is totally out of control at the moment, everything overgrown as I've been too busy to get out there!  The design team have lots of inspiration for you over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Flying High

 The Try It On Tuesday challenge this time is Flying High.  For my card I have used a mix of Indigo Blu stamps and some freebies from a magazine .  Its a bitof a rush card as I'm very short of crafting time at the moment.  The design team have some lovely samples on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Going round in circles

Going round in circles is the theme of our new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and it also describes my life at the moment ! However I did manage to sit down for a while and make my card for this challenge . I've used an old Woodware stamp coloured with promarkers so a very quick and easy card.   The design team have some lovely inspiration for you over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Keep It Simple

 Where does the time go ? its time again for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we are asking for you to Keep It Simple.  For my simple card I have used the lovely hydrangea stamp from Inkylicious, few gems and a simple greeting stamp.  The design team have some lovely examples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit

Numbers

 Time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we want to see Numbers.  My card is a quick one with distress oxide background, random number stamps from Woodware, typewriter and wording from a magazine stamp set.  Yesterday my computer wouldn't work at all and struggled to edit my card or anything, today by some miracle or other its back to normal !  Hope you will visit the challenge blog and see the lovely samples from the design team. 

Make your own background

 Time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we would like to seeyou making your own backgrounds.  For my card I have used one of my favourite techniques of ink smooshing, added a bit of text and randon dots stamping. The main image is an Indigo Blu stamp from a box set a few years ago. Hope you will visit the design team and see their lovely samples on the challenge blog.

Make it cute

 This time at Try It On Tuesday we are asking for you to "Make it cute "  I.m not  a cute fan but I have always loved my Penny Black Critters so decided to find this one out and use it, he's such a happy little Hog !  The design team have lots of lovely samples to show you so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Spring

 Time for the next challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we want to see your Spring cards, pages etc.  We've had a couple of sunny days but the last couple of days we've had torrential rain and gale force winds and its been very cold again.  My original idea was to use daffodils but I couldn't find the stamp or the die I wanted to use and I've begun to think maybe I imagined I had them haha !  Anyhow I've used this very old Stampendous stamp and although I've never seen a bird that looks like this I rather like it .  Hope you will visit the challenge blog and see the lovely work by the design team and join in our challenge.
