Buzzing By

Our Challenge this week at Cardz4guyz is something beginning with B, hope you will join us , just be sure your entry is suitable for a male ( of any age)

What could be more appropriate than a Bee. I love this CTMH buzzing Bee stamp, it needs very little adding and is so useful for all kind of occasions and importantly is very good for masculine style cards. .All very simple stamping, the small bee is also from a CTMH set background splodges are Stampin Up and a bit of stencilling and inking.

Three Wise Owls

My goodness, can't believe its almost the end of June, nearly missed Rudolph Day Challenge!
I'm trying to use some of the boxes of stamped images and papers that I hoard but the stack never gets any smaller.  I bought this stamp three or four years ago, stamped and coloured several times and then just abandoned them as I couldn't seem to put together a card, I believe I made one which I wasn't happy with and that was that.  I'd also like to enter this into Pixies  Crafty Workshop challenge as everything on this card apart from the stamped Happy Christmas is from the Christmas bits and bobs box. Also like to enter my card into Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - Use Two Words

Tree Fairy

I've been playing with the magic mushrooms again LOL, never been one much for fairies but I do like these Lavinia ones. This is a much bigger card ( 8x8) than I usually make but Tree Fairy is quite a large girl for a fairy !  Background Oak House Studio Inks, all the stamps are Lavinia with the exception of the small toadstools which are Inkylicious .  The dragon flies are stencilled with Imagination Sparkle Medium.  I'd like to enter this into My Time To Craft Challenges which is Fairies

Father's Day

The challenge this week at Cardz4guyz is Father's Day. The first thing you may notice is that my card doesn't actually say Father's day. My Dad died a long time ago and I haven't made a Father's Day card since.  I did try but it seemed nothing I did was right. It would have been his birthday last Saturday which means this weekend has been a time of remembering and memories. He is up amongst the stars now which is the meaning of my card.

Butterflies

This is another card made with the inky papers I made with my new Colour Chemistry Inks, must try some of the other colours next.  The stamp is a Woodware one and the sentiment is a freebie Hot Off The Press. The butterflies were already fluttering around from a previous project.  Butterfly Spot challenge is for Butterflies and S is for sequins, I've never really thought about using sequins on cards before but believe me I have a box full, talk about being a hoarder, I've had them since my daughter did shows with her ballet school and I had to make her costumes, she is over 50 now !  Oh the nightmare of sewing them on, we were not allowed to glue them on, one year she was a Pearly King, can you believe how many pearly sequins I used .

Butterfly  Challenge S is for sequins and butterflies

away with the fairies

I have had a friend here for the day supposedly to do some crafting, did a lot of talking and not too much crafting of my part, seem stuck in a rut at the moment, however after she had gone home I decided to have a quick play with some Colour Chemistry Inks I just got from Oak House Studios, love the colours, they are a not as brightly coloured as Dylusions and make a nice gentle background for stamping on.  I got these Inkylicious stamps back in March at the Harrogate Show and have not really used them, this was a very quick card but I'm happy with how it turned out.

I'd like to enter this into Penny Black and More challenge which is Wings

Old Crock

The challenge this week at Cardz4guyz is TEXTURE , hope you will join us in this challenge, your entry must be suitable for a male  ( any age)

For my card I have embossed the old car with black embossing powder. I'm a little disappointed that the background of my card doesn't show up very well, I have used white embossing paste through a distressed diamond stencil and then coloured the whole back ground with distress inks, the middle panel is done with an embossing folder and I finished off with some garden twine.

A Gaggle Of Geese

I was going to use my crazy bird stamps for this weeks challenge at cardz4guyz but found I had been pipped to the post, no problem I'll use my Wetland stamps, oh dear, they have been used too, thought I had better get a wiggle on and make a card quick before I get beaten to it once again. My gaggle of geese are a Hobby Arts stamp that was given to me for my birthday and it is its first outing, I have seen it used as a Christmas stamp but thought it is also fine for ant other time of year too.

Poodle Love

Wooh! on a roll tonight, a quick cas card. I don't know where these stamps came from, have a vague recollection of winning them a long time ago, the packet was unopened, they are by Blade Rubber, don't know if that company still exists?  The with love stamp is from a freebie set from a magazine, it's rather nice, think it will get used quite a lot.

Simply Less Is More  - 2  or 4 legs

My Time To Craft - domestic animals

Addicted to CAS - animal

Style

More brusho background, background stamped with Justrite Paris Boutique stamp,  Tim Holtz Runway girl and Mariane Eiffel tower die, sentiment from Butterfly kisses. I had started making another card with a brick wall background but it wouldn't come together how I wanted, will go back to it later and have another go.

I've had a nice day with a friend, playing with Paperartsy fresco paints and brayers, not produced much of note by enjoyed ourselves. I really need a good white inkpad preferably die ink but haven't been able to find one. I did have a StayzOn but it never really worked ,used the whole bottle of re inker and it still wouldn't work, went in the bin.

Back to my card , I would like to enter in at Fashionable Stamping Challenge - People

 and by

with this lovely stamp

This is my DT card for this challenge

For my card I've used a new Hobby Arts stamp I bought at Port Sunlight earlier this month, it took me quite a while to get the sheep looking realistically "winter grubby" looking and then I went and just about obliterated them with chunky white frantage, even so I was quite happy with the result. The DP was a piece of freebie from an old magazine and the greeting stamp is from Inkylicious.
