Stickers !

The challenge on tag tuesday this week is to make a collage tag and use stickers. Cannot remember when I last had stickers out but knew I had some somewhere, when I found them I was amazed at just how many I did have and I really enjoyed making this tag with them.I coloured the base tag with distress inks and stamped it with Hero manuscript background although it hardly shows. I did get a bit carried away with the stickers but for once I am really happy with the result !

Altered mini suitcase

This is a little suitcase I bought ages ago, it was full of miniature dominoes which I still haven't used. Thought I would alter it for Tuesday Taggers challenge which is to alter something. All the labels and tags are from the lovely Graphic 45.

Garden times

Made this card for Ready Steady Stamp challenge, think I have managed everything in the "recipe" which is 1.Numbers, 2 green,rose,cream and brown, 3. leaves, 4.corrugated card and 5. 3D. I started off with a piece of DP which had roses and leaves on it but by the time I added the other ingredients the paper hardly shows.The collage stamp is Penny Black and the Magnolia flower is from Gothic Magnolia set by SeeD,s. I get really irritated by the fact that my scanner does not pick up the edges of my cards. I put it on a piece of black card to try and help but it still don't do it !!

Only Black & White

Here is my tag for Tag Tuesday challenge. I love black and white combo but its so tempting just to add a little bit of something else, a lot of embellishments I thought I could use actually had silver on them and I could only find one white and one black brad ! thought I had loads, anyhow I enjoyed using Darkroom door stamps that I got at the show last Saturday.

Saw this challenge on TMTA and immediately thought of the Girls night out stamp from Crafty Individuals. The other one is just a little card that came in a bag of vintage images.

Aperture card

I havn't made one of these fold cards for ages and had a job remembering how to do it, its easy when you know how ! My vintage Christmas stamps were still out so used my favourite Santa along with Graphic 45 papers. This is my entry for Winter Wonderland challenge which is "aperture"

Ann's card

A birthday card for daughter-in-law, she doesn't look at my blog so she won't see it before her birthday. The stamp is a new one I bought at Harrogate show, I had not seen this make before and they had quite a few that I liked. Coloured with copics and the lacy bit is with a new Martha Stewart punch I got.

here's my entry for Bah Humbug Vintage Christmas challenge. Used a couple of stamps from Clear Art Stamps-Vintage Christmas, love this set of stamps. Had a very nice day at Harrogate Papercrafts Extravaganza, not as many stands as usual and very crowded but spent up as usual !

masculine

Think it must be down to spending my working life in the male orienteered world of the motor trade but I really love masculine themes, cogs and wheels,cars and bikes etc so I was happy to see Theme Thursdays challenge this week is masculine. The Crafty Individual "bottom of the garden" stamp is one of my all time favourites and the penny farthing bike is from Elusive Images

Clowning around

Didn't have any thing to do the Tuesday Taggers challenge this week, I don't like clowns very much, think they are creepy ! and I didn't have any masquerade stuff either. Today I borrowed this Paperartsy stamp from a friend, I know they are Pierrots rather than clowns but hope they will do.

Spring Tag

This is my Spring tag for Tag Tuesday. I was not sure whether to post it as it has not scanned very well, I have used very pastel colours but they are not as pale as they look on here ! Still on the "birds" theme but these are two of my very oldest stamps, I though I had a rose arbour stamp that I used to use with them but can't find it and maybe I just borrowed it. The background papers are some of the plainer pieces from the Mariposa pad.

Victorian Christmas

Winter Wonderland challenge this week is for Victorian Christmas , I took the optional element of distressing. Wobbly sewing, tearing,inking and scratching, nothing I enjoy more ! Everything on this card with the exception of the poinsettia is Graphic 45.

Spring

Can't seem to leave the bird stamps alone ! stamps used are Artistic Outpost,Oxford Impressions and Hero arts. This is for Theme Thursday challenge which is Spring.

Arch Tag

Didn't think I had any stamps with arches on for Tag Tuesday challenge but found this whilst I was looking for something else.Don't quite know if it counts as an arch that the "angel" is holding up but there is an arched window behind him !

Not one of the best !

This is not one of my better cards to say the least but I am posting it for a friend who I talked to yesterday and gave me a bit of inspiration to get back to doing something. The verse down the side of the card is for her !

Simple !

After being mean to the starlings yesterday and stopping them nesting in our roof I have made this very,very simple card showing a birds nest with eggs in, looks more like a blackbirds nest to me ! Stamps from Artistic Outpost again. Still struggling to make anything. Think I am going to try and do something other than cards, I have it in mind to alter a little suitcase. saw some lovely ones for sale yesterday but they were quite expensive and I do have one or two I could use..........

Holly Hedgehog!

Could not settle to doing anything today or yesterday, seem to be on a "downer" again,don't know why as we have finally had a couple of sunny days although it is still freezing cold. Starlings are trying to nest in the roof again even though we have just spent a fortune of having the eaves supposedly fitted with bird guards .wouldn't mind them if they didn't mess all down the windows ! Anyhow finally roused myself enough to make this card for Winter Wonderland challenge which is a sketch this week. Another Christmas card for the box !

Art Words atcs

A couple of very simple atcs for Theme Thursday "Art Word" challenge. I have quite a lot of word and verse stamps but could not think of anything exciting to do with them so went for the simple route ! All stamps by Elusive Images.

Sing Bird, sing

Having a go at Ready,Steady, Stamp challenge, a bit daunting for me as the DT samples are so out of my league but going for it anyway. The "Recipe" is Birds,Blue,White,Green & Black, handmade flowers, Frame it! and foam core or thick cardboard, have to use all five ingredients. Quite a challenge. I Did not have any foam core so used a piece of polystyrene packing to make the frame,the base is a piece of picture mat board so that is THICK CARDBOARD I hope. The FRAME is painted with Viva precious metals- BLUE Azure and Pistachio GREEN. The back ground is coloured with versamagic aquatic splash,spanish olive & french blue(more blue and green)the background stamp is Stampers anonymous stamped with BLACK ancient page ink.
The BIRDS from Artistic Outpost are stamped in black on WHITE cardstock.The wording and flower stamps are Artistic Stamper. The FLOWERS are stamped on blue and green DP
and cut out, Hope that covers it all !

February atcs

Woops, nearly forgot to post the February atcs !.(which was the letter E) Scanned them all on Tuesday but was waiting for a certain someone to produce hers before I put them up, then I forgot all about them and having waited for someone to do her atcs very late (smack,smack ! )I then forgot to scan them ,so sorry Babs we had already posted them out before I thought about it . They were lovely ,as who ever is lucky enough to get them can say! Thanks to all who took part. This month is the letter F or Spring using green and/or yellow or, as always, anything you want to do !

Vintage card

Been in my little suitcase of old photos again.This lovely lady is Great Aunt Winifred or Winnie as she was known, my Grandfathers sister. I made this card to a sketch on another challenge site I found,

everybodyart challenge. I don't know why my scanner does not pick up the edges of my cards.This is on a brown cardstock base, tried all ways to get it to show but its not playing. More text flowers ,the red flowers are from my new marrianedesign die cuts which cut and emboss beautifully (especially when a friend cuts them out for you ! )

Birthday Blast

Made this card for a family birthday, got these stamps from a friend for Christmas and its the first time I have used them. Its quite sparkly in real life as I embossed the trumpet? with disco black sparkly embossing powder which doesn't show on here. The first picture is a scan ,the second a photo ,the scan is showing the true colours. I just posted this to Little Red Wagon challenge, think I was too late but posted it anyway !
