Inky flowers

Been "practicing" with my inkylicious ink dusters, bought them ages ago, had one go and didn't seem to get the hang of them and because it wasn't instant gratification chucked them in a drawer to gather dust, however having just bought another bunch of Inkylicious stamps thought I'd have another go with them, did watch a couple of youtube videos first and I am liking them better I think.?

I thought this card would be appropriate for Fashionable Stamping Challenge which is Silhouettes .

My computer is playing up and its taken longer to make this post than make the card LOL!

White space!

More playing tonight with new Adirondack brights inkpads, loving the vibrant colours, need more!
Bit scared of leaving all that white space on this card, not something I often do.  A very, very old stamp for the sentiment, one of the first unmounted stamps I ever bought, a new inkylicious flower stamp and the honeycomb stencil.  I'm so enjoying this aimless playing!

More stencil playing

I've not been posting much to my blog recently although I have been making/playing but nothing that I have made for any challenges.  I'm going to be just posting stuff I have made because I want to not to any specific theme or challenge. I love it when I get comments and appreciate everyone so I do hope that my followers will still have a look at what I've been up. I will still enter the occasional challenge if I have made something appropriate.  I got quite a lot of new stuff at the Great Northern
Papercraft show, even though I didn't like the venue and the overcrowding! also was missing a lot of the usual exhibitors. Hopefully I'm off to Port Sunlight on the 29th, weather and health permitting!
The above card made using memory box honeycomb stencil, inkylicious flowers and woodware sentiment.
Totally different style, Love Tulip stamp from Woodware and papers from Whichcraft.

Vintage

making waves

This wave stencil arrived in the post today and I wasted no time in getting playing with it, love it .
I have to say I have been in the doldrums with crafting for a while now and it was lovely today to get excited about making something!  So simple but such a lovely background, the hardest part was deciding what stamp to use on it, its going to be making a lot of appearances I think...............

Sew Special

Love this background paper from Crafty Secrets Typography CD, which I was lucky enough to win from Astrid a while ago, it hardly needs any thing adding to make a card. I have had the sewing machine stamp for ages and never used it, the scissors, needle and thread and sentiment are from a freebie that came with a magazine. It would have been made quicker but I have spent ages looking for another stamp that seems to have gone walkabout, so aggravating!

Buttons and bows

After my marathon masculine card making frenzy its been a pleasure to make something a bit more feminine. I had seen a lovely card made by Avril for the Alphabet challenge and it inspired me to get going. I loved how she had sewn round all her layers but I don't have room to keep my sewing machine out and it was too much effort to drag it out so I paper pierced all my layers( can't see it very well on here) I had seen Sue Wilson on create and craft using the Tim Holtz piercing ruler and I have had mine for ages and never used it so had a go at that, very quick and easy. I also cased her idea for using the memory box chloe die, thanks Avril !
