Green Tea

I almost decided not to blog this card as it didn't work out anything like I had envisaged when I started making it but then when do they?  if I could make what I imagine I would be a genius ! I'm still happily playing with my new doily stamp and when I saw Make My Mondays challenge was food and drink ,well doilies and tea time go together in my book.  The teapot is a Hunkydory stamp ,came as a package with another stamp set and its yet another unused stamp, the wording is from a Hobby Arts set I think.

Distressed?

Change from the clean and simple tonight, I finally managed to bring myself to cut into the fabulous Wallflower collection papers, trouble is that they are so beautiful that I then don't want to cover the paper up so I have still kept reasonable simple with this card.Stamped the Joycraft postcard stamp twice and gently distressed it, then just added the seam binding bow. Dyed the seam binding with dylusions postbox red  ,matching the postal theme ?  I now have postbox red fingers to match too, looks quite gory!

Gorgeous Grunge

Well two posts in one day, I'm really going some!  My new Stampin up stamps were delivered to me this afternoon so I had to have a play straight away. I have had my eye on the gorgeous grunge set for a while so I'm happy to have got it now and its everything I hoped it would be. Everything stamped straight onto the card and just a couple of mats. The Enjoy stamp is yet another stamp I have had in a set of Hero words, in fact there are three sets, never used, got them at some ridiculous price a couple of years ago, I think they may have been so cheap because they are not perfect but I've managed to sort them out so now they will be getting used.  Putting this on this challenge:-

Addicted To Clean And Simple - grunge

Butterfly Wreath

I seem to be the clean and simple mode at the moment or maybe I'm just too lazy to get involved in anything too complicated right now .  Looking for something else I came across the Hero wreath stamp which I have had a very long time and had never been used, shame on me! now I have inked it I see all kind of possibilities for using it .Stamped sentiment and two memory box butterflies and done.

Tickled

Playing about with Clearly Besotted feather stamps again, I have made this card three times up to now and each time something has gone wrong, the first one which had perfect stamping I dropped the ink pad on it! air was blue to match the stamping.  The little marks are not on the card but on my scanner glass, I really must try and give it a proper clean, get rid of the bits of glitter and glossy accents stuck on it.

Big Butterflies

Trying to get some semblance of normality into our lives after the traumatic last few weeks. Today my OH and I have been out for the day, to Helmsley for lunch and then this afternoon a lovely walk on Rievaulx Terraces, beautiful sunny day, wild flower banks covered with primroses, cowslips and wood anemones and the beech trees just coming into leaf, a few bluebells starting to show too, the views over the Abbey are stunning.  Anyhow back to the crafting...  my sister sent me this amazing butterfly stamp for my birthday and I have just started to play with it, its huge, this is a 6x6 card and it doesn't quite fit on it. I have stamped it just in black and white here and I think its stunning just as is !  I may add a bit of bling later but for now I'm just loving the simplicity of it.  I'm entering it on these challenges

Feathers

Well I have to freely admit that I "cased" this card from Made With Sparkle Blog, A friend gave me the lovely Feathers stamp set and matching dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps for my birthday and I had naughtily treated myself to several of the Wendy Vecchi designer archival ink pads, yummy colours and this gave me a chance to try some of them out! Not made this for anything in particular, just to play. The Alphabet challenge is just as you like it which seems appropriate so entering into their challenge

Masking tape technique

Saw this technique using masking tape on You Tube the other day and had a play with it, I loved the distressed look of it and its something I will certainly be using again. Dug out this Woodware stamp I've had a while and made a quick and simple card.

Easter

Been making a few last minute Easter cards so thought I might just put a few on here as my blog is feeling very neglected.  We have been and are still going through a very difficult and sad time in our family, a little time out with a bit of crafting does help.  Made this 10 minute card with pan pastels, serene silhouette stamp from Stampin up set{a lovely birthday present from my sister} and the rabbits are a craft stamper freebie.
