Flower power

Somewhere of facebook I saw someone asking for bright coloured flower cards to brighten it up, well, I don't think could get much brighter than this.  I'm loving these retro style flowers from Woodware and I've gone to town with my brusho paints to make them as happy as can be, layered onto a piece of brusho splattered card and another piece painted round the edges with the same brusho paint used on one of the flowers.  I made this just for fun but I thought I would enter it into Work It Wednesday Challenge which is Floral

Rudolph Day Again

Having one of those days when nothing seems right, had to get up early and go for routine blood tests, followed by grocery shopping ,stresses me out in the supermarkets, can's stand the noise and all the people !  think I need to start and shop online. Thought I'd have an afternoon crafting but mind was totally blank, then I saw it was time for Rudolph Day challenge again so rooting about to find something to do I found these images I had printed out from  a free CD before last Christmas. I have used left over pieces of Be Creative Christmas papers , some judicious patchwork going on here, joins covered with various die cuts and punched pieces. All the die cuts used are from my Christmas die cuts left overs, feel quite virtuous using up all these scraps. So I'd also like to enter the first card into Pixies Playground

Birds of a feather

Whoops ! nearly forgot to do this post and its a card I loved making too .  This week at Cardz4Guyz the challenge is Birds Of A Feather chosen by Jan.  I have had this row of birds from Inkylicious for quite a while and it had never seen ink, now it has I think it will be used quite a lot. The sentiment is also from Inkylicious and the flowers at the bottom are a Joy Craft stamp which once again has been unused, I think I tried it once and it didn't seem to stamp well, this time I used an Adirondack ink pad and it stamped perfectly first time so will be getting used more.  The background was done with pan pastels.
Hope you will join us in our challenge this week.

New Home

I'm quite shocked to see its a week since I blogged, where does the time go ?  I have been busy and made quite a lot of cards through the week but some of them need finishing touches and some are DT cards. Tonight I thought I'd just have a play with these Woodware stamps I bought a few weeks ago and not used.  I'm trying to build up some stock for my charity card box and last year I was asked to do a few occasion cards as I normally only do birthday ones so this is my first New Home Card.
I'd like to enter it into a couple of challenges

Addicted to CAS - Home

Less Is More - Texture  ( I used a brick embossing folder)

Be My Valentine

I think I'm in my second childhood or really losing my marbles, I don't know what possessed me to buy the Crazy Cats stamps and having got them have no idea what to do with them ! I've spent ages tonight messing about with them and this is all I've produced. I'm sure she is going to say yes to him after he has given her that lovely fishbone, what more could a girl want?

Believe in fairies

A while ago I spent some time making my own sprays from various things, some cheap metallic paints, luna lights paints and some cheap acrylic paints, after the initial play they just got pushed away in a cupboard, came across them yesterday and thought I'd have another play. I never have a plan, just let things evolve, so sprayed three different colours, some embossing paste stencilling, bits of background stamping , the text is stamped on tissue paper and applied with gel medium and finally (with some trepidation in case it went wrong!) I stamped the fairy, she's a freebie from a magazine ,I nearly didn't keep it but glad I did now.

I'd like to enter a few challenges

Love Actually !

This week at Cardz4guyz Amy has chosen the theme of Valentine, I don't "do" Valentines but I've made the exception to the rule for once for my DT card !  Very simple card, Stampin up Work of Arts splatters and five punched hearts, the word love is from a very old Stampin Up set I had forgotten I had, now I've found it again I have thought of a few uses for the other stamps in the set.  Hope to see you join us in our challenge, just remember your entry has to be suitable for a male (of any age)
