Zig Zag

This week at Cardz4guyz ,Amy has chosen the letter Z for our challenge.  I was a bit stumped with this one, could only think of Zoo or Zebra and I didn't have any stamps for those, thought of Zentangle but I don't have the patience to do that !  finally remembered this zig zag stamp from Work of Art set from Stampin Up, kept it simple so it could be used for any occasion. Look forward to seeing your entries, just remember they have to be masculine.

Sparkly Santa

A simple little card using up some scraps from last years cards, Santa was already stamped so just coloured him with pro markers and added lots of glitter to him, inked up an embossing folder to get the spotty background and used a piece of DP from the scrap box.  I'd like to enter him into

Its so hard!

T have realised the reason I get very little crafting done is that I have far too much stuff !  I can't decide what to use because there is too much choice and I waffle about thinking I'll do this , oh no I won't, I'll do that, I need to take myself in hand and stop buying new stash but then there are all those lovely new stamps crying out to me, its a hard life being a crafter hahahaha !

Anyhow here is another card I made with some free stamps from Papercraft Essentials

I'd like to enter this is these challenges

The Happy Hare

Tonight I've been playing with this happy little fellow from Hobby Arts, bought the stamps at Port Sunlight but was just reminded about them watching Hobby Arts on Hochanda the other day.  Didn't quite know what to do with him so bit of a playing about with distress inks and various word stamps.
I usually make male cards in quite subdued colours but I thought he needed a bright sunny background. I'd like to enter this card into these challenges

More messing

Still struggling with the elusive mojo but keep setting myself challenges to make myself do something.  I am forever buying magazines because they have rather nice "free" stamps etc with them, mostly I flick through the magazine, chuck the free stamps into a carrier bag with other "stuff" I will get round to and there they stay. Anyhow tonight I thought I would challenge myself to make a card with the stamps with Creative Stamping magazine and a lovely selection they are too this month however I have chosen to use the digital image from the magazine for my card tonight, been chucking the brushos about and distressing a piece of music paper to match, the wording is also from the same set. I'd like to enter this into

Try It On Tuesday - I can hear music  (you know how it feels when you just have that tune on your brain !)

Ahoy There

This week at Cardz4guyz the challenge chosen by  Jane is It's Hip To Be Square, so its square cards only this week.  For my card I have used a digi stamp and I can't for the lofe of me remember where it is from, the sentiment was part of the set too.  Coloured with pro markers and mounted up on some bits of scrap papers, die cut anchor. This is for a great grandson's third birthday this week.

Another one for the boys

First of all I would like to welcome my new followers, thank you for joining me and I hope you enjoy visiting my blog.

I've another male card tonight, This coming week I have five family birthdays and four of them are masculine plus we have just had a new addition to the family , a great, great grandson ! Seems boys rule in this family.

I made this card for one of the older men, its n old stamp set that I hadn't used for a while , like that it comes with the main stamp and then the car, watch and compass separately to decoupage them. For the background I used distress ink, salty ocean and stencilled it with blueprint, then embossed it with a cog folder to give a bit of texture, coloured the mats with the same pen as I used on the car. I'd like to enter these challenges

HMV ?

Giving my age away when I say this is reminiscent of the old His Masters Voice advert that was used on old 78 rpm records !  I think that was a little wire haired terrier ?  The gramophone is Stampin Up Timeless Talk set  and the little dog is Hobby Art,. In the stamp set he is facing the other way so I had to stamp it,scan it into the computer and mirror image it, took me ages as I couldn't remember how to do it (I've written it down now, the memory is not what it was LOL) I did try other ways I've seen ,like stamping onto a craft mat or acrylic block but I couldn't get a decent image. Just watched Inkylicious on Hochanda so feel an Inky play coming on !  I'd like to enter this in

Dig It

This week at Cardz4guyz Caz has asked for  "Dig it"  this could be interpreted as either "Dig it" as we used to say eons ago about music we rated or as in gardening!  Easy I thought, until at last minute I realised all gardening related stamps I own are quite feminine, watering cans and wheel barrows with flowers on. Finally found this seed packet stamp and teamed it with a favourite inkylicious stamp verse and some muted background stamping.  Hope you will join in our challenge this week with your masculine makes

Blue mood?

Another blue monochrome card , this one I made for a friend's birthday and I hope she has received it by now. The butterflies and the poppy seed head stamps are from an old set of Chocolate Baroque (when it was Elusive Images) set, the background stamping is, of course TH.  I have been going back to doing some inky stuff more recently , I do enjoy getting mucky !  I'd like to enter this in a couple of challenges

Navigateur

This week at Cardz4guyz  challenge Sharon has chosen Monochrome.  At first I was going for a black and white scheme which is one of my favourites but while rooting about for a stamp to use I came across this Stampendous one so went with blue instead, this also gave me chance to use an Imagination craft stencil and the anchor die both new and not used before. I really like the anchor die and as I make quite a few nautical cards can see it getting well used.  Hope to see your cards for the men or boys in your life in our challenge.

Anything Goes

This month at Stamping Sensations we are sponsored by Crafty Individuals who are offering a £35 voucher to spend on their online shop

For my card I have used Crafty Individual stamp CI 357, I have had this stamp a while but not really used it, this time I have enjoyed decoupaging the flowers, bird and butterflies in fairly bright colours whilst trying to match the colours to the pretty papers I have used which are from Dovecraft.
Hope you will join us in our anything goes challenge  but remember we are a stamping challenge so stamping must be the focal point of your project.

I'd also like to enter this into

Cute Christmas

This month at Christmas Sparkles Challenge 64, Helen has chosen the theme and she is asking for "Christmas Cuties" must use a cute image.
Now I am not a "cute" fan but need to rise to the challenge and I have these Robin images from Making Cards magazine which I think could be classed as cute and I do love a Christmas Robin !
D.P is very old stash ( trying to use up old papers with not much success) and the merry Christmas is a Clearly Besotted die cut.
We are sponsored this month by Crafty Ribbons who are offering a £10 spend at their online store

Look forward to seeing your entries
