Spring Fling

 Well its a long time since I did a post, a lot has been happening in our lives and crafting has had to take a back seat, just got a little spare time at the moment and managed to make a couple of cards.  Its time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time its " Spring Fling"  . My garden is bursting into life, the snowdrops are starting to go over as are the crocus but lots of daffodils and primroses out now, Camelia in full bloom despite all the frosts and buds on the crab apple tree that look like will be lots of blossom soon

Santa Claus is coming to town

 Time for another challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time its " Santa Claus is coming to town".  I had spent ages searching for my Santa Stamp and couldnt find it but I did come across some pre stamped and coloured toppers so thats what Ive used on my card, just added the number, bit of ribbon and sentiment and the Christmas paper in the background.  The design team have lots of inspiration for you over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit.

After I'd finished this card I had one of those lightbulb moments and remembered the stamp was a Stampendous one and there it was in the drawer with all my other stampendous stamps.

Tradional Christmas

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is Traditional Christmas, the design team have lots of lovely inspiration for you over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit.  Robins always make me think of winter and Christmas so I have used Visible image robin and holly for my card, the frame is a free stamp from a magazine.  I hope you will join in our challenge, all kinds of art/craft are welcome as long as they follow the challenge theme

Sparkle all the way

 Time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we would like to see lots of sparkle on our Sparkle all the way challenge.  I have tried to capture the sparkle on my card but try as I might it refuses to shine !  there is actually lots of sparkle on the tree the gold embossing and gold glitter card.  The design team hav done better than me and managed to capture the glitter on their samples so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Make it magical

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is to Make It Magical , the design team have lots of magical sample over on the challenge blog and would love you to pay them a visit.  The funky mushrooms on my card are from an old stamp from Rubber Dance ( don't know if they are still around ?)and the little fairies are Inkylicious.

Halloween

 Well it's time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and as it's coming up to that spooky time of year the challenge is Halloween.  The design team have great inspiration over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit and join in our challenge.  For my joirnal page I have used a mixture of stamp sets but the witch is from a set that has no manufactures packaging , I've had it for years and can't remember where it came from.

Autumn Magic

 I've made a DL card for a change this time for the new challenge at Try It On Tuesday which is Autumn Magic.  For my card I have used random stamping with an old Stampin Up set called French Foliage, its a very versatile set with text, splats and various leaves, the words are from Hero Arts set of four season stamps, also very old stash! The design team have some lovely inspirational pieces over on the challenge site and would love you to pay them a visit,

Black and white and one other colour

 New challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time its " Black and White and one other colour"  As usual we accept cards, journal pages, atc's etc , anything as long as it follows the challenge theme.  For y card I have used another old favourite stamp from Kanban and the wording is an old Kaisercraft stamp, there is some white on the background although it all looks a bit blue on here ! The design team have lots of inspiration over on the challenge site and I hope you will pay them a visit.

Make It Colourful

 Where does the time go ?  it's time for the next challenge at Try It on Tuesday and this time we want you to "Make It Colourful "  we welcome all kinds of projects, cards, journal pages, atcs as long as they they follow the challenge subject.  The background on my card was actually a stencil lift failure but I really liked it. The butterfly is a Tim Holtz die  I've had for a long time and thesentiment a freebie from a craft magazine.  The design team have some great samples for you so please pay them a visit over on the challenge blog.

Make it feminine

 

The new challenge at Try it On Tuesday is "Make It Feminine" I have made a couple of collage pages for my Kraft Journal and taken the opportunity to use some of my old wood stamps. The backgrounds are from a very old sewing pattern instructions.  I don't work directly into my journals but make seperate pages to add to them and also I don't really know why I call them journals as I very rarely write in them!  The design team have some great samples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit and join in our challenge

Keep it simple

For my very simple card I have used a flower stamp from Hero Arts coloured with watercolour paints, sentiment is a freebie one from a magazine that I've had for ages.

In The Garden

 It's time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time the challenge theme is "In The Garden"

For my DT piece I've done another page for my  7x7 journal, inked and stamped background and then bits and pieces from my stash of saved " junk"  the main picture is from some Liz Earl packaging, the flower pictures and word were salvaged from my neighbour's recyling box and were from flower delivery packing which she received every month( lucky lady!)no idea where the watering can bit came from. I had spent the afternoon altering a pair of trousers for my husband so while the machine was out I finished the page of with some stitching.

Things with wings

 

Time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time the challenge is for Things With Wings. This is always one of my favourite subjects, so many choices! My DT piece is another page for my journal and includes lots of butterflies and a bird.  The design team have lots of lovely inspiration for you over on the challenge site so I hope you will pay them a visit.

More Journal pages

 I’ve been saving mop up kitchen roll paper for a long time, often think the mop up looks better than the piece I’m working on, however I decided it was time to use some of it. Each piece has three layers so I get three almost identical piece from each piece of paper towel, I used two pieces as the base for two pages of my journal but then ended up almost covering them up by the time I had finished decorating the pages. The pink and green bits round the edges are all that can be seen of it😀

Here comes summer

For my little card I have used an old Crafty Individuals stamp and the words from another of their seaside stamp sets, background done with distress inks.
