I think just about everyone has got this stamp and I'm not surprised, last year I made a lot of cards with Stampendous Christmas Santa postcard and I've made a load with this one this year, they have had some fabulous Christmas stamps this year and I've gone a bit overboard with them ,have used most of them and they'll always come in for next year ! It's such a lovely stamp I don't think it needs much else with it so I've just embossed the top and bottom with a sizzix border folder and added a bit of distress ink and the bow on top. Entering on these challenges
Sugar Creek Hollow - vintage Christmas
The Craftypad - add some glitter
Drunken Stampers - not too shabby
Your card is so beautiful! I love how you highlighted the house in an oval, and I love the distressed look of the embossing. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHello Joan
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classic Christmas scene for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere, not so for us Kiwis, We have to think Beach and B.B.Q as a Christmas scene, not that we have had much sun to date!
Anyway it is a beautiful card, and I can understand why you enjoy working with the stamp.
Smiles:)

This is so beautiful . I have this stamp and just love it . Love how you did a border on the top and bottom.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card Joan, the textured border is beautiful and your scene is evocative of a an old fashioned Christmas chocolate box, I love it.

This made me smile Joan as I have this stamp too and have made most of my Christmas cards this year using it. I have used Frantage on mine but I love how you have done yours with the embossing on the card, it is so beautiful I may just have to make a couple more using your technique! Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, Love the way you have used this with the embossing folder. really adds to the vintage look.
