Dressmakers emporium

This is a house box I bought back in September and its been lurking about in here ever since. I did start it before Christmas but had to abandon it to do Christmas stuff. I painted in with gesso and then pink acrylic paint then lined the shelves with some sewing themed papers, covered the edges with washi tape. Added bits of ric rac, lace and tape measure ribbon to the front edges and stuck buttons round the eaves. Most of the pieces on the shelves are from my old haberdashery collection. The dressmaker figure is a Kaisercraft stamp and the sign she is holding is a S'dees set
This is the top shelf, old cotton reels, large button, some old scissors and the metal thing that says blindfold is a needle threader !
On these shelves, a little bottle with tiny buttons in,thimbles, thread and part of  an old suspender
Here we have old needle packets, some old buttons and a reel with some ribbon
Bottom row has a pin cushion made from a bottletop, tapemeasure and spool with some fabric swatches and the last one is two little pots of sequins and some sequins on a card although they don't show up very well. Finally added the dressmaker and a pair of scissors to the front.  All the bits and pieces are just held in with blu tac so I can change them when I get bored with it ( or when it gets too dusty even for me !)
