Haven't managed to do a dictionary page this week, sadly lacking in energy and still have extremely painful hands and wrists, very frustrating, I'm not good at not being well!
Had a look through my big dictionary and found a few interesting words, unicycle/unicorn/union jack/upbeat/unconventional and upside down but I settled on the word URCHIN - raggedly dressed, mischievious child- now I was tempted to use an old photo of myself and siblings but thought they might not be amused! remembered this Lindsey Mason Stamp and quote which I thought really fitted the meaning of the word so made a page for my 4x4 fat book.
I also liked the word Umbell - type of flowers, found this little quote for Umbellifers ,used pan pastels white embossing and overstamped with cobalt blue, another page for the fat book.

Two great pieces, both are different, but both are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHello Joan
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you are having problems with your hands, I am not good at being well either, I get a little grumpy!
Your first page is just adorable, it is a great image, and the sentiment is so suited.
Your second has a completely different feel, but nonetheless gorgeous and has a wistfulness about it. I love them both.
Smiles:)
Sue

Wow - two great pages and I can't decide which one I like best. I think I'll have to go with Urchin because the quote fits one of my kids to a T. Love your backgrounds. MMx
