Bee Happy

Clean and simple card for Casology challenge - Bees

Flower and bee were free with Creative Stamping magazine and I think the wording is woodware but lost the packaging so not sure
This second card is for Make My Monday - make us laugh! don't know about laugh, maybe a wry smile?  This is one of those "what was I thinking" buys that has languished unused and unloved but now I've actually stamped it think I could possibly use it with different wording or maybe not!!

Totally fed up of this awful weather, really wanted to get the garden sorted out this week but not going to happen.  Also I really want to know where does the time go?  I get up in a morning, turn round and its bedtime, know I'm getting (am) old but this disappearing time is getting beyond a joke!

Faffing about!

keep seeing these "card in a Box" cropping up and thought they looked a bit too "faffy" for me, however suffering from rainy day blues yesterday spent an  hour making the box and stamping out the flowers, tonight it only took me a short while to punch out the flowers and stick them in the box, it was just going to be an experiment or I probably wouldn't have used pink card but I quite like it now its finished, can see lots of variations , sewing, steampunk, butterflies, birds etc, I do like the fact that they fold flat to go in an envelope too.

Fashionable stamping - 3 D object.

owl be watching you

Used up another piece of card from the stack, this background is a gelli plate one, I started off with another piece of gelli plate paper. got nearly finished and then messed up stamping the wording so into the bin it went and started over again with another piece. My Stampendous steampunk owl has not seen many outings so when I saw the Artful times challenge was owls out he came.  Used a memory box stencil for the sun rays and a Kaisercraft edges stamp(so useful, love them) I think the quote is a Woodware stamp.  Really fed up of the weather, wanted to be outside planting up tubs and baskets , instead my poor plants have been almost drowned in the deluge!

Left Overs ?

Not having been very inclined to do anything much in the crafting line I was mooching about looking for something to inspire me to get going when I spotted Our Creative Corner Challenge - Love those Leftovers, well my pile of leftovers resembles the Leaning Tower Of Pisa !  if I'm playing with inks I end up with a stack of papers, same thing with the gelli plate papers, can't just stamp something once and I save every little scrap of stuff.  For this card I have used a piece of inky card, think its sprayed with dylusions but also has some gold in it too, stamped over it with Inkylicious stamps -delicate vine and live life. The Butterflies are left overs from my playing with inking and stamping on canvas and their bodies are beads from some fancy braid that was all the rage a few years ago, needless to say I have yards of the stuff. The beads at the bottom of the card are what fell off when I cut the strings of beads off the ribbon top.

Clean and simple

Saw that Simply Less Is More challenge today asked us to use a die cut, this lovely butterfly border had just arrived in the morning post so put it straight to use, the purple background is made with an embossing folder, I think its the first time I've used that too, the butterfly is another memory box die and the sentiment tag is a stampin up punch.

Another masculine card

Another quick card, this one for one of our Grandsons, he's a keen golfer so made him a golf  themed card, I have had the stamped image for ages, it was a borrowed stamp so don't know the make, found the golf ball paper on the internet and the sentiment was a free stamp from a magazine

One For The Boys?

Well we've just had our first week of the season away in our caravan, didn't travel far, just to the East coast but had a lovely time visiting favourite seaside haunts , Whitby ,Sandsend, Filey etc and exploring the North Yorkshire Moors, lots of nice little tea rooms so I was able to indulge in lots of scones and cream, best of the lot ? Rosedale Abbey . lavender and blueberry scone with lavender and blueberry preserve, making my mouth water just thinking about it!  Realised that we had several family birthdays this week and disorganised as ever no cards made so very unlike me I have made most of them from various CDs, only one with a single stamp on it. This card is for our eldest Great Grandson who is 18 on Wednesday, where do the years go ? He is training to be an electrician so this image seemed appropriate, its from a La Pashe CD, no idea where the CD came from, probably a free one at some time

Pink and Blue

I've been enjoying playing with Hero Arts Leafy Vine stamp, big stamp ,fills a card on its own, I've been experimenting with different colours embossing too, up to now the silver and the white are my favourites, remember when I first started stamping many moons ago we embossed everything .
Quickly coloured by "dusting" with distress inks. The butterflies are from an old Hero Set  and the wording is Inkylicious.

Just Because Cards

Free stamps with the latest edition of Papercraft Essentials, Great Grandaughters 5th birthday card sorted! (needs a bit of glitter adding to the fairy dust I think)

Made this card just because I wanted to try the colour shaded stamping of the butterflies, I love how it worked out, can't enter this for anything as its more or less a "case" of one that was on the Card-io stand where I bought the little butterfly stamps, I have used different colours, different sentiment and added the die cut butterfly but is still too much like their sample for me to claim any credit for it. I think I'll be making variations of this card in different colours and sentiments.

L
Used a new stamp which was yet another birthday present from a friend, I was so spoilt with crafty goodies this year I've still got lots of new stuff to play with!  Love this Penny Black stamp, so pretty.
I'm not a Copic pen fan as I've been so disappointed that mine have nearly all dried out despite hardly been used and stored in a airtight box but I was told about some new pens that are being sold in The Works and they are only 99pence each, having tried them I can't tell the difference between them and my Promarkers except they are half the price, not a huge range of colours but all the basics are there .Any how after digressing with that............ Used a piece of Tim Holtz wallflower collection paper overstamped with the wording from the butterfly stamp set, piece of vellum, butterfly ribbon, twine and button.

Glamorous Butterflies

Saw a new challenge about butterflies and this gorgeous beauty was on my table just asking to be used, background is a gelli plate piece overstamped with Kaisercraft stamps, I did add a little glitter to the butterfly's body but it doesn't show up on here, just added a few gems in the corner for a bit of sparkle.

Steel Wheels

Spent most of the afternoon faffing about with this card and I'm not really happy with it now, seems I used to be able to knock together a collage type card in no time, think that disappeared along with that Mr Mojo who comes and goes when he feels like it. Cut into some more of my French Industrial papers and dug out a few Tim Holtz stamps to use with the Crafty Individuals stamp, also used a bit of hessian that has been hanging about for a while.
