Blue flowers

`Been sorting out cards for my charity sales and there are quite a lot of cards I haven't blogged, this one included. I love this tall flower stamp, it makes for very quick cards but still look lovely with the addition of a sentiment or bit of ribbon or in this case a bit of twine and a tag. Thought I would enter it into a few challenges.

Imagine

I've just spent a very boring few hours putting inserts in cards, finding envelopes and cello bags getting cards ready to take to the local hairdressers who sell them for me for our groups charity. This year our chosen charity is MIND, the lady representative from the organisation said they are a forgotten charity and get very little help so I hope we manage to raise a good amount for them, last year we raised over £4000 for our local hospital new unit.   However, to get round to my card that I've just finished off , brusho background, I used Ost Blue for the first time , I loved the explosion of colour it produced, the other colour is orange.  Originally I coloured the birds with brusho as paints but they looked a bit muddy so I stamped them again on another brusho paper(cobalt and emerald green) cut them out and stuck them over the original birds. I'd ;like to enter this on Lisa Bs design challenge

Flight

Cardz4guyz challenge this week is FLIGHT, plenty of scope there, just remember it has to be a card for a Male ( any age).  My card is made with an Obsession Impression cover a card stamp for the background, the plane is an Artemio stamp, the compass Indigo Blu  and I don't know who made the circular map stamp, bought it at Port Sunlight a couple of years ago from an American Company and the stamps had no packaging, wish I could remember who it was as I bought quite a lot of their stamps at the time. Colouring is done with pan pastels.

Rudolph Day

Sadly lacking in any inspiration this afternoon I saw the challenge for Christmas cards on Rudolph Days. I found this LOTV stamped image in Christmas bits and pieces box and also the embossed snowflake card, coloured her in and found a few bits of card in my scrap box. I meant to add a sentiment but got interrupted and it was only when I went to post it on here I realised I hadn't done it, will add one later. Id like to enter it for the following challenges

Football Crazy!

I had to laugh when I was typing the title of this post, anyone who knows me knows I absolutely hate football with a vengeance ! I do appreciate that a lot of people get a lot of pleasure from it and I know our great grandsons enjoy it. It was a frantic search again for something to make my design team card for cardz4guyz challenge this week which is Football Crazy.  I rediscovered some old Papermania vintage stamps and amongst them was this little boy.  The rosette, trophy and football are some old Rub ons, papers from my scrap box.

Umbrellas

while I was searching for something else I came across this old Papermania  nostalgia stamp which I don't think has ever been used, I thought it would fit nicely into a couple of challenges.  Having always been a more is more and pile it all on stamper , now and again I just have a fancy to go clean and simple and this is one of those times. I thought this little cutie would fit nicely into a couple of challenges

Blooming

Its ages since I made DL size cards and having made my New Home card a couple of days ago I find myself making another one, this one because the stamp is so long it won't fit on a 6" square which is what I normally use.  This pretty flower  ( I think it's an Aquelegia or Columbine) is from a Papermania set called Nature's Gallery as is the little script stamp at the bottom. The Happy Birthday is a Stampin up stamp.  I masked the oblong and coloured with ink dusters and momento inks, I had intended making a one layer card but I seem incapable of doing "straight" and my masked oblong was wonky so had to do a bit of judicious trimming and layering. I'd like to enter it into these challenges

New Beginnings

A complete change from my Crazy Bird obsession !  I have had a friend here today and she has had her first play with Brushos , as she is a very neat and clean card girl think it was a bit hard for her to let go and let it flow but I know she loved them, she has just got the Crazy Birds stamps and they just go so well with the vivid colours of the brushos, must pop over to her blog, HERE and see if she has uploaded them yet.  To get back to my own card, had this Woodware stamp for a while and never used it, one of the Granddaughters has just moved into her first flat so I'm sending her this card.  Entering it into

Jump In The Puddles

OK, it's official ,  I'm addicted to Crazy Birds !  This one is the one I didn't really like, thought it looked a bit miserable but I've cheered it up with some more bright colours, I think the pink bit is a pink plastic raincoat LOL. More splatters from gorgeous grunge ,my most favourite Stampin Up set and a few words cut from an Inkylicious quote stamp and an old Hero arts stamp set. I had yet another Birthday last week and got very spoilt with lots of lovely stamps from my Sister and friend(s)
all sitting on the table waiting for their first inking, just need loads more hours in the days.
Found a couple of challenges for this

Fun In The Jungle

The theme at cardz4guyz this week is Fun In The Jungle, afraid this was right outside my comfort zone!  frantic search through stamps revealed nothing at all, ziltch ! so resorted to the good old internet and found a few royalty free images to use, added a couple of die cuts and a computer generated greeting.  I hope some of you will join us in the challenge this week

Smile !

Spent a frustrating afternoon making a card I had to make and didn't want to do, I just wanted to play with crazy birds !  This is a very quick one layer card with Stampin Up gorgeous grunge splats and splatters.  I love that the more crazy the colours used the better I like the birds, they make me happy! I did have to add the word on an extra bit of card as I stamped it last and of course it didn't stamp properly grrrrr!

Happy Me!

Bird Crazy stamps finally came to roost at lunch time today so I've spent a great afternoon with brushos ,memento inks, stencils and stamps, I have made a stack of backgrounds and stamped and coloured several more birds . I need to sort out some more wording stamps ,this one is a Kaisercraft one that I've left some of the wording off as it was a bit too big.  Not entering it in any challenges its a "just for fun card"

Blooming flowers

wooh, two posts in one day!  more playing with the beautiful Bloom with hope stamp set.  quite a simple design in lilac and lemon to show off the lovely flower stamp, the little splats are from another Stampin up set, can't remember its name.  The central strip is impression obsession coloured with pan pastels to try and match the flower which is coloured with a mix of distress inks. I'd like to enter this in the following challenges

Buzzy Bees

After seeing Avril's tag here it reminded me that I had also bought the bee stamp from Inkylicious and the alteration dies too. so time for a play.  Gorgeous grunge background splats in  dandelion yellow and a bit of stencilling through the die cut, the main stamp is a ctmh that was a Christmas present, the backing paper is the piece I messed up when stamping the buzzing bee, waste not, want not it made a toning paper !

I'd like to enter Try It On Tuesday challenge - they who have wings
