Christmas In July

The Challenge this week at Cardz4Guyz is Christmas In July.  I thought I'd make a quick and simple card for my DT card this week but its been a series of disasters!  First version I thought I'd have a large moon behind the trees but messed it up and ended up with a green moon, second version going well until I dropped the inked stamp on the prepared background, this is the third attempt and for some reason the ink has bled a little on the sentiment stamp, don't quite understand why as I used the same versafine ink to stamp the trees and they are fine. Struggling a bit with the rheumatoid arthritis in my hands, hence dropping the stamp, yesterday I dropped a large bucket of dirty water on my kitchen floor, panic stations throwing down towels etc to stop it going under the units. I had just shampooed the carpets but didn't intend doing the kitchen floor as well. Last night dear O.H walked oil onto the carpet I had just cleaned, happy days !

Hope to see you joining in our challenge, just remember the card has to be for a man/boy, any age

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges

Lovely as a tree is one of my favourite stamp sets as it can be used for so many different occasions and is great for masculine cards. Lovely Christmas card Joan. Take care of yourself x

  2. Fab card Joan, your persistence paid off.
You seem to have had 3 incidents so hopefully that will be the end of your bad luck. :)

  3. I hope the arthritis in your hands isn't going to get in the way of your crafting! It's a beautiful card and well worth carrying on until you got it right. I often find the "simple" cards are the hardest because you want them to be perfect!

  7. Fabulous card and if you hadn't said, I wouldn't have noticed the bleeding! Always frustrating when you get so far with a card and something happens to mess it up but so gad you persevered as this is great. Thanks for joining in at Crafty Boots Challenges this time.

  8. Fabulous card, great work with the background and I love the tree line. Very frustrating to have messed up the first one but I suspect it looks better without the moon in this instance.

Thank you for sharing your work with all of us at Crafty Boots Challenges.
