Hands Off Our Village

This is one of the reasons I've not been blogging much lately, that's me hiding behind the No placard as I didn't want to be in the photo!   We've been busy campaigning, delivering leaflets etc trying to stop the building of 100 houses on land at the edge of the village, next to conservation buildings and the Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the gateway to Nidderdale.  We have already had several developments and the latest one of 57 houses at £445,000  have only sold six, wonder why !  Next time you see me I may be sitting in front of a bulldozer LOL

  1. Good luck with the campaign, it's awful what's happening everywhere to destroy beauty and build for greed., same here. Hugs, Valerie

  2. Good Luck with the campaign. I hope someone listens to you Joan.
There is planning for 475 houses on a field next to where we live and also another field has permission for 400 extra caravans and we have hundreds of those already. Planning has gone made.

  3. OH gosh, good for you, how I sympathise, it's the same round here, not only spoiling the area but causing gridlock on roads in schools, doctors etc etc. makes me sad and angry .....thank goodness for crafty therapy xxx

  4. Good luck with your campaign. Thanks for sharing your problems with us. More power to your elbow. Planning gone mad since the rules were changed. They build houses but no infrastructure to support the residents. Keep on fighting.

  6. I hope your protest and campaign works Joan. You live in a beautiful part of Yorkshire, it would be such a shame. I'm sure there are other places that would not cause such a huge blot on the countryside.

  7. Developers seem to have no idea about what is relevant - We have seen plots have difficulty selling for ages around here! Good Luck! Hugs, Chris
