Stampman Challenge

Well my mojo has definitely gone walkabout ! Wanted to do the Stampman's first challenge but my mind was totally blank. Found this old Aspects of Design stamp which I used to really like and as the folder with all the inky papers was still out from making atcs made this card with various pieces of them. The little butterfly was one of the embelishments bits I got from The Works the other day. Now my scanner is playing up, think there is something wrong with one of the cables as I have to twiddle about with them to get it to work, don't know if you can get new cables or if I will have to replace the scanner, really don't want to do that as it is a really good one.

Variety

Tag Your It challenge this week is for Black/White and a touch of gold, I love black and white so thought it was an easy one this week but somehow nothing I tried looked right, I seem to be struggling with ideas right now, eventually made this tag. For someone who does not use peel offs I seem to have enormous stack of them which is not going to get much less if I only use bits like the necklace and belt on here.Gold edge round the edge of the tag with Krylon pen which is about on its last gasp,very hit and miss.The advert stamps are Hero Arts and I've no idea who made the dress form, I've had this and another one for years.

Wings

Just finished my three atcs for The Stampman Swap, three of my favourite Crafty Individual stamps, inky backgrounds from my folder (which never seems to get any emptier !) the three tags are from some unmounted stamps I bought years ago, I think they were from Artistic Stamper but can't really remember, there are lots of different word tags and they have been very useful over the years. It seems to have been very hot and humid again today and I have been busy ripping up the vynil from the bathroom floor, stuck down with some horrible smelling stuff so have scrubbed the floor boards three times and I can still smell it ! Hopefully my new shower will be fitted on Wednesday, hate having the bathroom ripped apart but hopefully will all be worth it in the end !

Anniversary

Struggled to find anything to make an anniversary card with, finally found this old stamp with the heart and flowers on. Have not made this size of card for ages and found in quite hard to work on. The stamp is by Stamps Unlimited ? papers from papermania Rose Garden stack as is the sentiment. The flowers with pearls in the middle are from the Works , a bargain at 12 for £1 ! among all the bits and pieces in there they have some quite nice embellishments, I got pearl gems,some very pretty organza butterflies, ribbons(5 metres for £1) and some frames and corners etc that look like metal embellishments, they do have some tat too but its well worth a good look at whats in there. This card is for Tuesday Taggers challenge.

Hearts

I don't seem to have anything to post on my blog the last few days, I,ve been busy making things but they are all stuff that I can't blog before the recipients get them! I have been very lax about keeping up with atc swaps and correspondence from friends so have spent all afternoon catching up, pile of post near the front door to take down to the postbox in the morning and I,m feeling quite virtuous ! Tonight I just made this little tag for Tag Tuesday challenge which is Hearts this week. The stamp is by Crafty Individuals.

By The Beach

Tag your it challenge this week is for "By the beach" I seem to have done quite a few challenges on this theme recently so didn't want to repeat anything. Found this old lighthouse stamp by Stamps Happen which has not been used for a long time,added the boats from a Butterfly Kisses Stamp, wording and shells from Artistic Outpost.Anything Goes challenge is for Seaside so I,m entering this for that too.

Saw a little tutorial for this type of card on 3djean's blogspot, thought I,d make one just for a change. All papers etc from the lovely Graphic45. The top picture of the closed card is a scan,the other two are photos, one inside and one outside hence the difference in colours.

Summer

Its been two weeks for the challenge at Tag Tuesday this time and still I am last minute ! Stamps from Artistic Outpost Bloom and Grow set again. I tried using Flowersoft for the first time ever for the flowers in the wheelbarrow, might have looked better with a lighter colour but only have the one pot of it and don't know that I will be getting anymore, have to say it was a lot easier than punching out loads of little flowers but that did look better last time I did that.

Twas the night before Christmas

Haven't done a Winter Wonderland Challenge for ages so just fancied making a Christmas card for a change! At least the temperature outside has gone down a bit,I was totally wiped out with the heat,just does not agree with me these days, used to love it, must be another "age" thing !

Thought I had already done this but I obviously haven't, not having a good day today.
Made this for Tuesday Taggers whose theme is "make a scene" well how I feel right now I could ! but will settle for this card, all stamps from Beyond The Sea by Artistic Outpost.

one fed up blogger !

Well I,ve spent hours today trying to sort out my blog after all the backgrounds etc I had painstakingly put on were taken back by the site I got them from, seems even though they were given for free its ok for them to just take them off anyones blog when they feel like it. Now all my links to sites I follow have disappeared from my dashboard, at the moment I feel like saying I don't want to do this anymore. I am not very good on the computer and its a struggle for me set things up and I don't feel like spending even more time trying to put it all right. Anyhow whinge over for now!

altered book cover

Here is my altered book cover for ReadySteadyStamp,since I started this there is a note to say it does not have to be a book cover but I had already started it so carried on as I was enjoying making it.There was a long list of ingredients of which had to choose five: OK I have used 1.dry embossing/embossed metal with Sizix embossing plate,coloured it with 2.alcohol inks-Expresso(Brown)& lettuce(green) Used Cream card stock for the cover.3.used distress inks on the cream card(shabby shutters and brushed corduroy)4.paint-hinges are painted with leaf green acrylic paint and then 5.embossed with verdigris embossing powder.6.the book is a rectangle as is the embossed metal plate 7.Heart is metal embellishment as is the padlock and key and 8.its fairly masculine I think. Did not have anything to make a coat of arms, the stamp of the Prince of Wales feathers is from an english tea cube stamp stamped on a nestabilities label. The actual book is a very tatty old book which has lots of important(to me) craft information in ,was in need of a face lift.
Don't know when I last enjoyed myself as much making this ! The difference in colour in the pictures is that one is a scan and one a photo, the darker one is the photo and more true to the colours. The metal heart by the way is an old belt clasp out of my "will come in useful one day" box!

Rainy Day

my scanner has completely altered the colours of this card ! The background paper and punched lace strip are really light brown ! This little girl with the umbrella is one of the new vintage line from Papermania, just love these stamps. Bit of distress ink round the edges and a couple of border punches.Think the flowers are Prima.

Cupcake

Nearly forgot to do this weeks challenge for Tag your It, wanted to do all four to join in the swap. Now cupcakes are not really my thing for crafting although I am don't need my arm twisting to eat one! I do have some Hero cupcake stamps but they are quite small and I like to do bigger tags so I just made my cupcake from various papers, the cupcake case is ribbled although it doesn't look like it on here,bit of stamping on the background and a couple of flowers to top it off.
