Ophelia

A very quick tag for Tag You're It which this week asks for scallops, I,ve managed to miss the last two of their challenges and am running late with this one, not much time for crafting at the moment, seem to have a hundred and one other things I have to do instead.  The stamp is an unmounted one I have had for years, I think it is a Stampsmith one, flourishy bits are Hero Arts. having said I have no time I have to say I spent ages last night messing about trying to do the Extreme Masking, made four tags and did not like how any of them worked out, chucked them all in the bin and will try again another day !

Paris France

Haven't used these stamps for ages. The Lady,the dog , plant and words are all from an old Non Sequitur plate, the background swirly stamp is Impression-Obsessions. The picture of the Eiffel Tower is a freebie from the Graphic Fairy. Made this for Lets Ink It Up challenge which is Make A Scene. This card is not as wonky as it looks on here , the black is not part of the card, just a piece of card I put behind it to scan it, maybe I should have cropped it a bit !

Card for a man

Stampman fortnightly challenge is for a card for a man, I never seem to have any cards ready made when I need one for a man but I do actually quite enjoy making them. This is a simple card using my Artistic Outpost steampunk stamps. sentiment circle is Personal Impressions, the dark card is brown although it does look black one here. I keep saying I am not going to be making any more cards from now on unless they are Christmas cards but here I am again ! plus I,m half way through another one for a different challenge. I don't seem to have the knack of making a card that fits more than one challenge!

Christmas Easel card

I could not seem to get a decent photo of this card even though I took them outside in beautiful sunshine this afternoon, you can see the sunshine on the bottom picture but it was still very cold !  I got this little robin on a branch stamp at Port Sunlight , its by Great Impressions, the flourish is Hero Arts. I seem to have a thing about this colour combo at the moment although cream and brown is not really very Christmassy. Its the first time I have used the polar white flower soft for snow and I don't know that I like it very much, think I will stick to the glamour dust glitter in future. This is for Lots to Do challenge which is a shaped or easel card.

Winter2

I,m a bit disappointed at how this card turned out after I spent ages faffing about with it . I saw some really beautiful cards made with  this stamp at Port Sunlight show but nothing seemed to work out how I wanted it to do tonight, will have to play some more with it and try and improve !  When I was at the Stampin Up class the other week I finally learned how to use a rollagraph properly ( do straight lines !!! ) so I was quite pleased when I managed to cover the whole card front without making a mess of it.  I was thinking of taking the rubber off the rollers as I didn't seem to be able to do much with them, the only thing that stopped me doing it was that I do not have a big enought acrylic block to use them on. Now I might have another go at using them as I do have some nice ones, mostly from Imagination Crafts , thats where the stamp is from also.  I'm putting this on Theme Thursday as their challenge this week is "Winter".

Winter

Another last minute entry, this time for Lots To Do which asks for Plain and Simple, stamps are Hero Arts.bit of holograph paper,  stamp embossed with white glitter embossing powder and a couple of rub on snowflakes  Its quite glittery but that doesn't show on here.

Black& orange or orange & black

I wanted to post this on a couple of challenges but think I was too late on Something Completely Different but I entered it anyway. Its also for Tag Tuesday. I love this image of a witch and especially the cat ! I found the image on Magic Moonlight Free Images. Couldn't really do anything much other than layer it up on orange and black card as the image already says it all. Drew the bat on a bit of black card and cut it out. Wording done on computer. The gauzy stuff at the bottom is some kind of dressing,came out of an old first aid box, knew it would come in useful one day, of course it was white originally, coloured it with my versamagic ink pad (I,ve got very black fingers too )

Tag you're it

This is my tag for Tag You're It's October challenge, I did not get my tags made in time to post them in the challenge in the first week of October but finally managed to get them made just in time to get them in the post for the swap, I have had some lovely tags in their previous swaps and I do like getting pretty things in the mail . I'm always surprised that more people don't join in this swap, its lovely!

Trick or Treat

This mischievous little girl is my  entry for Lets Ink It Up challenge which is for Hallow'een or Hallow'een colours, only realised tonight that I had not done anything for this challenge. The girl is a stamp from Kraftin'Kimmie Stamps, I love her corkscrew hair !

A couple of atcs for the Stampman Atc swap, all the stamps used are old ones, background collage stamps by PSX and Inkadinkado, Tag stamp is Invoke art and Taj Mahal is a Judikins cube stamp, all coloured with distress inks.  

Think Pink

Theme Thursday challenge this week is pink so as October is breast cancer awareness month I made this atc, I have has these mft stamps for a couple of years, actually bought them by mistake not realising that they were breast cancer stamps, finally got to use them for something.

Heaven & Nature

Just made this card because I felt like it ! not for anything in particular, the bird stamp is from Stamp Camp and is like an old wood cut picture, had to be a vintage type card with this stamp. I,m finding in hard to get motivated at the moment, I came back from Port Sunlight buzzing to go and then we went away for a few days and its all fizzed out ! Ended up watching tv most of last night which is so not like me and tonight will be watching Downton Abbey.

colour challenge

Well I nearly didn't post this card as it hasn't scanned too well, maybe I should have got my camera out but its such a mess in here I would have to do a major clear up before I could take a photo!  I made this for Creative Sketches challenge which is a colour one, I don't have any Stampin Up card stock so used the nearest I could find, the brown is much darker than their Soft Suede ( which I have on order !) but I did not have any lighter brown.The blue card is stamped with Hero script stamp and on the brown card I have used one of the "cover a card" stamps from Impression Obsession. the small stamp on the blue card is Elusive Images. Everything except the sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and coloured with perfect pearls pigment powders ,its a shame the shine doesn't show on here. Its ages since I used mica powders and I had forgotten quite how effective they are, think I might be using them again soon.   Netty just told me that Gingersnap Creations challenge is Versamark so I am putting in there too, I never think me stuff is good enough for their challenges as they have such fabulous samples on there !

Pandora's box

I have to say I made this box and book quite a while ago but as it has not been on my blog or anywhere else I hope it is ok to enter it on Tuesday Taggers Pandora's box challenge.  I love making boxes, since I discovered years ago how to make this origami box I must have made dozens of them in all kind of sizes,so quick and easy. The book bit was a bit harder. Rushing to get finished tonight as I am off to Port Sunlight Happy Stampers show tomorrow, yeah ! It's my favourite show as its run by stampers and is all about stamping. I need more stuff like I need a hole in the head but hey we can always find room for just a few more stamps ! Its an early start as its a two/two&a half hour drive and we want to be there for opening time. We are going away for a few days next Monday so won't be around until end of next week.(After all my rushing now the link at Tuesday Taggers doesn't seem to be working ! )

The Witching Hour

Another hallow'een tag, crafty individuals door stamp,inkadinkado clock. I think the woman image came from Art Friday some time ago and the border at the bottom is G45 halloween. I,m putting this in for Tag Tuesday challenge which is pumpkins  ( yes there is a pumpkin even if its just a little one on the border at the bottom of the tag! ) I spent forever searching for pumpkin images but could only find funny ones. A short time ago someone had a lot of old halloween postcards on their site but can I find them again ?   should have bookmarked them when I saw them .Having  a nothing goes right day today and just realised I have a couple of special cards I need to make for the weekend, inspiration nil !

Fashionista

A vintage card for Lots To Do challenge. Quick card made using Graphic 45 images and some papermania papers, inked the edges and the tape measure with Brushed Corduroy distress ink. Don't seem to be getting much done at the moment, too much messing about and not enough creating !

Autumn

Another autumn card, this time for Something Completely Different challenge which is shades of Autumn.
Trees stamps are Crafty individuals as is the leaf. The birds on the wire and the child are from Artistic Outpost.

masculine christmas card

Nearly didn't bother to post this card tonight as it would not scan properly, came out black and then I could not get a decent photo either. The card is a lot lighter brown than it looks on here, anyhow thought I would put it on Winter Wonderlands challenge which is for a Christmas card for a man, think I can get a way with a bit of ribbon for a fellow !
Yesterday I spent the day at a Stampin Up class,first time I have been to one, not my usual kind of thing but I did enjoy it, made two gift boxes,a gift bag, little book with pockets for four cards and the cards to put in it and two easel cards, quite a lot of stuff!. Everything was in kits and ready cut and scored which was fine, what I didn't like was that some of the stuff was also stamped for you and just needed colouring, I guess as it was quite a large class there would not be enough stamps for everyone to do their own stamping as we did have to wait for stamps to come round when we did need to stamp our own. I did like the cards we made and the colour combo of coffee and cream which is what inspired me to use it for my card. I had hoped to spend this afternoon catching up on atcs as I seem to "owe" them to everyone but it was not to be, visitors and phone calls put a stop to that but I'd rather see and talk to people when I have chance. Tonight I had to watch Downton Abbey, I,m loving that programme !

Most appropriately it was just midnight when I started this post .  This is way outside my comfort zone as I have never done hallow'een, dark or gothic but there is a first time for everything. The moon image was from creepyhalloween images and I,m not sure where I got the vampire woman from, it may have been the same site? This 4x4 is for Theme Thursday.
