Enjoy The Ride

Tried to post this last night but blogger was not playing again, anyone else having problems ?  Background paper is a piece from a Debbi Moore magazine, balloon and compass stamps are Indigo Blu and the wording is from Darkroom Door and Close to my Heart.  I tried embossing the clock die with distress emboss powders but didn't work too well and then I remembered I bought some Fran-tage
shabby white embossing enamel at the Harrogate show back in March and it hadn't even been opened, ooh I love it, will certainly be getting used now!  While I was trying to colour the piece of mesh which is under the balloon I realised it makes a fab stencil which I then used down the left hand side. Old postage stamp and a bit of string, lots of distressing etc. The base card is Kraft although not a lot of it on show.  Several challenges this week for masculine cards so here goes

The Stampman  - Make it For A Man
Frilly and Funkie - Kraft and twine
Simon Says Stamp And Show - Texture
Cards For Men - Masculine ( Fathers Day but as my Dad died 14 years ago I haven't added the word Dad)
Crafty card.makers - Distress It
Fat Pages With Attitude - Anything goes/Fathers day

  6. Joan, your card is awesome! I love the background paper! Really great color for stamping and adding your embellishments! I love your compass focal point in the center of your piece. Tim's weathered clock die looks fantastic around encircling the compass. Love Tim's hot air balloon, too! Great job! Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
