Its Rudolph Time again

Another month flown by and I realised I had not made a card for the Rudolph Challenge I haven't missed a month up to now so don't want to fall at the last post !  This is one of the cards I am making kits of for a group of 40 plus non crafters to make in November, someone kindly volunteered me to do it and I know they had no idea of the task they were setting me!   For this card I have used a die I bought in The Works, ( cuts beautifully)  cut it in gold and red and glued them together, it''s a very simple card but I am quite happy with it.

Lets Dance

Make My Monday challenge this week is "Dance"  gave me a chance to use this Stampendous stamp that I really like but it gets very little use. I love that it takes so little time to make, the verse is part of the stamp, just had to add a bit of colour and some little crystal drops for the rain.

While I was in the mood I also made another card, this time using a  creative expressions stamp for the dancers and some stamps that were free with Creative Stamping last year.

Things with wings 2

Time for a mid month bit of inspiration over at Stamping Sensations and the design team have some lovely samples to show you.  I'm a bit disappointed at how my card looks on here ,it is brighter in real life although I do find that the oxide inks do tend to look a bit duller than the ordinary distress inks, maybe its just how I use them.  For my card I have used a favourite TH background stamp and a butterfly stamp that was free with a magazine.  There is still plenty of time to enter the challenge but as we are a stamping challenge we must see stamping as the focal point of your entry.

Things with wings

Forgot to schedule my post for Stamping Sensations  new challenge, better late than never which seems to be the story of my life at the moment.  This month we are sponsored by Rubber Dance and the theme is Things with wings.

Rubber Dance is a home base stamp company in Norway. We manufacture all our stamps on site, Stamps are deeply etched red rubber with natural clingy back that will adhere to acrylic blocks and stamp platforms.

We look forward to seeing your entries but please make sure your entry qualifies by having Stamping as the main focus of your project.

Gift From The Sea

Just a bit of playing about for the the Library Challenge which this time is a book by
Anne, Morrow Lindbergh. I haven't heard of this book or the author so my piece is inspired by the title which is Gift From The Sea.  The little saying is so true, I love going to the seaside and it does make me so happy so that is a gift from the sea to me. I just used a couple of bits of DP and computer generated the saying.  The large shell stamp is a very old one, had quite a search to find it. stamped it with Memento Peanut Brittle, overstamped it with Versamark and the coloured it with gold and pink mica powder to get a lovely shine. I'll probably stick this is my art journal.

It's snowtime !

Time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this time Caz has chosen the theme of Its Snowtime.  Well I don't know about you but we have had the strangest weather over the last week, hottest day on record one minute , amazing thunderstorms and torrential rain, we did miss the hailstone storms which have been all around us, did someone say it's summer !
For my card I have used a Hunkydory topper and paper from old stash which I am trying to use up.The winter wonderland stamp was free with magazine a couple of years ago. The design team have some lovely cards to show you over on the challenge blog so hope you will visit them and join in our challenge.
