Butterfly

I said I was going to try and use my embossing folders and stencils more and I have used both on this card.  The back ground is an embossing folder that was free with a magazine, it was with some peacock stamps so I think it is meant to be peacock tails, whatever, its quite a pretty folder. Just coloured it lightly with distress ink. The butterfly circle is an old Spellbinders set and the butterfly was also a freebie with creative stamping magazine . There is a little stencilling on the circle too.  After I had coloured the butterfly with Inktense pencils I decided to go over it with glitterpens, it's very sparkly in real life!

I'd like to enter my card into

Lets Squash It - Use EF, green and an insect.

  1. What a beautiful card. The embossing folder is really pretty, so is the butterfly and love the addition of the subtle stencilling on the circle butterfly die cut too x. I hope this blog post stays this time Joan and doesn't disappear like the last one x.

  2. Very pretty, just bought that mag. They should show your card as inspiration.
There's a new challenge blog for embossing, both types, I think it's called... Can you stand the pressure.
