Best friends

A very quick, simple tag for Kard Krazy tag challenge this week. The challenge is for a man tag, I did make another tag but when I came to put it on my blog I realised I had almost copied Louise's tag ! (nowhere near as nice of course) I love this stamp of the three guys, it really does not need anything else much with it. I wish I was looking out on the ocean with them, its so hot here today I had to give up on the gardening and come inside. We are never happy with our weather here its always too hot or too cold or raining !

vintage bookmark

Challenge on Tuesday Taggers is for a Vintage Bookmark, right up my street ! I love all things vintage.The ladies are from Graphic 45 paper and the other bits out of my box of bits and pieces.

Blooms

made this card for a couple of challenges. First one is Tuesday Taggers which is all that blooms (I think? )The second one is a new challenge "Anything Goes" which asked for pink&cream,lace and pearls. Have'nt used this stamp for ages.seem to be digging out a lot of old stamps recently even though I have new ones as yet unused!

I started to make this tag for Tag Your It challenge which is "needle and thread "but as it progressed I realised it also fitted Tag Tuesday's "favourite things" challenge". I don't usually enter things for more than one challenge but am doing so this once.

Bird has wings

Just made this card for Sentimental Sunday, the challenge is to use new stash. I have used new Tim Holtz alteration dies for the bird and flowers.The sentiment is a freebie from Raindrop Echo designs.

Fashion

Here is my card for Ready,Steady,Stamp challenge. material is the little swatch of different fabrics attached with pin. Couldn,t think of a fashion theme punched item so just used punched circles for the caption.

Texture

This is my card for Tuesday Taggers, this week is "Touchy,Feely, textures" Paper is sprayed with moonglow inks, then embossed with diamonds in the rough embossing folder, edges distressed etc. The birdcage is embossed with copper ands verdigris utee. The bird is cut from black velvet. All stamps are Paper artsy.The stamping is a bit hit and miss but think it adds to the textured feel (thats my excuse and I,m sticking to it ! )There is a prize from Tanda Stamps for one lucky entrant !

Music

A quick tag for Tag Tuesday ,this week the call is for "Music". Coloured the tag with distress inks , the violin stamp is from The Stampman music sheet. I spent forever looking for the music ribbon which I had in my head was white,as it was in the tin with the black ribbons it was some time before I found it ! Bit of torn music from an old music book.

Birthday card

Had a friend over today and we spent some time supposed to be making cards but a lot more time chatting! I did manage to finish this card which is for a third birthday girl ! Having looked at it again I think it needs something in the middle of the flowers to finish them off.The stamp is Penny Black and the cute papers are Papermania "Honey and Hugs"

Thankful

Sunday Sentiment challenge this week is Thankful. The sentiment on my card is one of their freebies which they generously give every week. Stamp is Stamps Happen. Die cut butterfly (lovely but have to pick out all the bits with a pin after using it !)

a man among boys

A very late post for Tuesday Taggers challenge which is for masculine theme. Finally got to play with the cogs die, utee and distress inks and Artistic outpost steampunk stamps. Just got back from a lovely afternoon in Grassington, a very enjoyable (and huge !) cream tea in Cobblestone Cottage Cafe and exploring the interesting little shops and a very scenic drive home over Greenhow and through Pately Bridge. Very little traffic for a bank holiday although lots of people in Grassington. Nearly forgot to add that this weeks challenge is being sponsored by the Craft Barn who are offering a gift voucher!

Friendship

Just a quick tag for Tag Tuesday "By your own hand" after I had done this tag I looked again on the blog and realised it said "doodling" duh ! I didn't do any but I did write on the tag in my horrible hand writing so I,m posting it anyway,I just love these kids on the stamp by Art Journey.

Whiter shade of pale

Tag challenge for Tag Your It this week is a Whiter Shade Of Pale ( and yes I have been humming the tune ! ) Quite difficult to do an all white one, just inked the edges with sage green and the wording is stamped in black. The gorgeous butterfly is a new die from Marianne, its beautiful but I don't know if I will use it much as having the pick all the bits out of the die with a pin is not my cup of tea ! The butterfly is cut out of glitter paper and is very shimmery in real life,pity it doesn't show on here but never mind eh !

Formula 1 ?

Well when I saw the challenge at ReadySteadyStamp I had to wonder if I could do it,what I know about formula one and car racing could be written on a postage stamp!
I did have this stamp with a "vintage" racing car that I bought some time ago out of a bargain bin and the card evolved round it. background page from an old road map book,brooklands programmes downloaded from Google. Old touring map,driving licence and petrol coupons from my "hoard" of junk,scanned and resized.Journaling had to be typed as I could not fit it on if I wrote it, the car is embossed with utee.
Not been doing much crafting for the last couple of weeks, I have my sister here on a visit from California and we have been out and about.
