Pink&Green

Here's my card for The Stampman Challenge which is take two colours. Now if anyone says that I almost always go for black and white but today I thought I'd have a change, I found this flower image from Magenta already stamped, coloured and mounted on the piece of pink paper so thought I was well on the way BUT not so, everything I did went wrong, punched the strip of green paper, stuck it on, tried to move it and tore it and the paper underneath too! fortunately the next piece I did managed to cover the damage underneath, glue from the pink doily punched piece went everywhere so I thought I,d stick on the pink flourish with glossy accents which then oozed out from underneath it, not a happy bunny ! Not the most wonderful of cards but I,m entering it anyway !

Tag Swap

Oops ! I forgot to do my tags for Tag Your It challenge, I,m posting them anyway as the swap is open until end of August. The call was for Olive Green/Burnt Orange and antique white. I have used the same seed packet stamp from Artistic Outpost on them all with different flowers on each tag. I wish I had not put the top swirl on as the colour looks completly wrong now I have scanned them, it is actually green but it looks more blue on here. This weeks challenge is Monogram and I have lots of unused chipboard alphabet letters so can used some of them up.

Black

Here is my card for Tuesday Taggers challenge "Black". Very simple card, stamps by Paper Artsy, birds on wire is Artistic Outpost and wording is Stamp Attack.
We have been to Pickering Steam Rally today and I,m so tired tonight ! The traffic was bad going there and then we had to park such a long way from the show field I was tired out before we got there. I spent a long time looking at tool stalls which was so exciting (I don't think!), I love the fairground organs and the steam engines etc and enjoyed seeing the parades of all the old vehicles ,just a shame they don't have a craft stall or two as well!. My sister in California had surgery today and it has been on my mind all day but I just called her husband and everything went well so I can go to bed and sleep tonight. Its times like this it is so hard being so far apart. We talk on the phone a lot and try to "Skype" but without much success up to now, don't know what we are doing wrong as everyone else seems to use it with no problems, I,m a total techno numbskull so its probably me thats to blame.

4. Tag - stamp by Invoke art

mannequin

Tag Tuesday has a mannequin template for this weeks challenge, I thought I would enjoy doing it but then I found it harder than I thought, when I looked at what other people have done I felt a bit daunted ! Eventually just decided to collage it with vintage labels and add some beaded braid to the bottom edge.

The scenic route

A card for Lots To Do challenge which is The Scenic Route. Once again I've used an image that was already stamped as it seemed just right for this subject. the glossy card had been coloured with distress inks and the car was stamped with green stazon, then I used a cotton bud to bleach out the car,the dp is from my scrapbox and the green inky piece from the everlasting pile of inky papers ! After I scanned it I realised the brad in the centre of the cog is purple! I thought I had used a brown one.Wording stamp is Paperbag studio. I can't remember who the car one is, think it could be personal impressions but I know its in a box at the back of the cupboard and its late !

fairy

Well maybe its retribution for doing "cute" but I have had a terrible time trying to upload this card tonight, I started about 8pm and its now almost 10pm ! my computer is always very slow but tonight it has been terrible and then blogger seemed like it wasn't working properly either. The only reason I made this card is that I found this little fairy already stamped and coloured languishing among some other stamped stuff and thought I could make a very quick card Hah! it took me ages. We do have a great grandaughter's second birthday coming up soon so it will be fine for her. Off now to make something inky and grungy......... Nearly forgot I was going to put this on the LOTV challenge which is a sketch.

Black/white/pink

Saw on my friend Babs blog that there was a challenge for Black/white and one other colour on Stampavie. I love black and white cards so thought I'd have a go,Nearly forgot to add another colour though! Main stamp is by Art Journey as is the word precious, the scroll stamp that I made the black& white paper with is from Artemio, this is a wonderful set of stamps for making backgrounds with. Been out in the garden this afternoon helping with the hedge cutting. We have a long hawthorn hedge and its very prickly! also collected a few nettle stings but at least the garden looks a bit tidier.

Inchies

made this tag last night for Tag Your It challenge which is to use inchies in some way. I have a several of the Inkadinkado sets of inchies and never seem to get to do anything with them so was glad of a chance to play with them ,these are from the Girl Stuff set.Inky background is again from my folder of papers that I have made and they never seem to get any less, must try not to make so many but once I get the inks and mister bottles out I get carried away! I bought a roll of wallpaper lining paper which is quite thick and I use pieces just torn off it, of course by the time I get to use it I have no idea what colours/inks/etc I used to make it. The word stamp on the background is from Butterfly Kisses and the Eiffel Tower is from Clarity stamps, postmarks are from Crafty Individuals.

Red&Green

Louise on KardKrazy has set a challenge to make a tag using Christmas colours of red and green but not to be a Christmas tag. I,m much lacking in imagination lately and have also been busy with other more mundane jobs ! I have made several of these little hanging tags out of grungeboard lately so thought I'd just make another one. The lady on the clock is from Graphic 45 papers and the other bits are punched or die cut, the stamp is Hero Arts. Think this is the longest I have gone without posting anything to my blog, will have to pull my socks up and get making stuff !

Wedding Anniversary

Now I know that they have got it I can post this anniversary card I sent for my sister and her husband, it was their wedding anniversary yesterday (38 years !)Images are Graphic 45, handcut hearts stamped witha papermania stamp,Martha Stewart punched lace and rose ribbon I got at Port Sunlight.

vintage tag

Haven't got round to doing Theme Thursday challenge for a while so thought I would have a go this week, the challenge is for a vintage tag and I really enjoyed making this one, used my new B line netting stamp for the background, image is a rub on from La Blanche, I have had them a while and they need using up ! I had not realised until recently that rub ons have a shelf life and think a lot of mine have passed their use by date, did eventually manage to get it to work though. Little lace doily, paper lace I have had for ever, buttons, flowers and fancy pins, got a bit carried away ! I aged and distressed the ribbon with my heat gun, had almost forgotten about doing that, love how it shrivels and curls ... (little things please little minds as they say! )

faces

Tag Tuesday challenge this week is Faces, could not make up my mind what to use but finally settled for this Hampton Art stamp which I have always liked, I like her face and also the wording. The butterfly was left over from yesterdays messy crafting and the angel tag is from an old set of stamps.

Canvas

Readysteadystamp have a long list of ingredients again for their latest challenge, think I have included quite a few on my canvas but I really could not find a use for eggshells on it ! The things I have used are 1.Canvas. 2. wings(on the butterfly) 3.Little girl theme. 4. acrylic paint. 5. alcohol inks(on the flower) 6.Pink. 7.pearls & gems. 8. metal flower. 9.Lace. 10. ink & distressed paper and 11.butterfly. I have actually made this canvas twice ! had it almost finished when I thought I would just run a bit of darker pink paint round the edges ( I never can let well alone) opened the paint and squeezed it to get a little bit on my finger and the paint shot out like a fountain all over my canvas, the table and down the wall! I said "oh dear " (or something like that !) I almost decided to give in but don't like to be beaten so started all over again, at least I had the metal flower made but had to tea dye some more lace etc, taken me all day on and off but I quite like it now its finished. Don't usually enter things into two challenges but I,m also putting it into Tuesday Taggers this time. They are being sponsored by Art From The Heart this week who are offering some of their new ink sprays, would love to win them !
