Butterflies

 Cannot believe how fast the weeks rush by and here we are with a new challange on Try It On Tuesday.

This time we would like to see lots of butterflies on your entries.The design team have lovely samples on the challenge blog so hope you will pay them a visit. 

For my card I used some stamps that were free last year with a magazine , I wasn't impressed with them when I got them but now, having used them I am really happy with them.Coloured with water colour paints and some layered stencilling in the background.

We will always have Paris

 Sorting out some craft stuff I came across a file full of Justrite Stamps, can't believe I had forgotten I had them.  The Background is one large collage stamp, just added a bit of distress ink and coloured the crown etc.  Thinking of what to add I remembered the Lost Coast Can Can girls stamp, just coloured bits of it as its a bit sketchy in parts, the legs partly disappear so just have to guess where to cut !  I am entering this into

Sail away

 The title of my post today is very appropriate as we have had non stop rain all day and its cold too, hard to believe we are nearly through May.  Our lawn is starting to look like a hay meadow as its just too wet to cut and although I have got the plants bought haven't been able to plant out summer bedding.  

The card today is a Woodware collage stamp stamped onto an inky background made by dabbing the piece of card into various distress inks pressed onto a glass mat and sprayed with water, one of my favourite ways of doing backgrounds, never quite know what am going to end up with, the background mat is a done through a wave stencil with the same colour inks.Butterfly is 3d'd and Compass stamped and fussy cut. I'm entering this into Cardz4guyz challenge - make your own background and  The Male Room challenge - Water/Beach 

 

Sympathy

 Sympathy cards are not the best things to have to make and I have been asked for quite a lot over the last eighteen months.  I always try to keep them quite simple with muted colours and this Penny Black stamp seems quite appropriate for either a man or woman.  I used a Lavinia stencil and distress ink for the background, the sentiment is from a set of Inkylicious stamps

 Its time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time it is "Make It Feminine" .The desisn team have some lovely samples over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.  For my card I have used some scraps of Graphic 45 papers I had been hoarding and forgotten about, die cut doily and stamps from Crafty Individuals, the wording stamps are freebies froma a magazine.

Seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment after been so unmotivated for a long time so making the most of it while it lasts. Made this card for Watercooler Challenge of All Things Feminine.  The stamps are from a magazine back in 2019 and the papers were also free from another magazine, waste not want not !

 Trying to get back to using my blog again. its been very neglected so I thought I might try entering a few challenges.  This is a very quick card using an old stamp, just added a sentiment and a die cut anchor

Time for a new challange at Try It On Tuesday and this time it is "Inspired by A song".  Please quote the song title and artist if you enter.  There are some fab samples for you to see on the challenge blog so hope you will visit.  My card is Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper.  I love this Art Impressions stamp, one of the ladies just reminds me of one of my neighbours and it is also just like our village ladies group meetings where the wine flows freely!  

Wheels

After all my good intentions I've fallen by the wayside again on the blogging front, just seem to be always running out of time and I don't know why as I'm not going out anywhere.  I had to order a stamp for a friend and as happens, a few more fell into my basket and this is one of them. Super easy card to make, bit of ink dipping and then just stamp the whole image. I did 3d the moth to add a bit of extra colour.  I'm entering this into  cardz4guyz  challenge which is wheels.  Long time since I was on their design team!

Back again

 Back again after a long break! wonder if there is anyone still out there !  I've struggled with my eyesight since I had my cataracts done last year, long distance sight is great but I now need reading glasses and have not been able to get to opticians, finally now got an appointment in a couple of weeks time so hopefully will be able to see what I'm doing when I get some glasses.  This is a card I made for a neighbour to give to another neighbour, the lady really likes cat so Ie'm sure she will like this Penny Black critter.  The second card here is what I sent her, she is still teaching piano and rides round the village on her bike, amazing lady.

The cats are Woodware stamps, piano keys and music notes freebie stamps, Happy Birthday stamp from Butterfly Kisses.

Oh So Cute

 Can't believe it's two weeks since I posted on here ! where does the time go?  It's time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time we are asking for CUTE !  I was a bit stumped on this one as I always say I don't do cute but then I realised I do have quite a lot of Penny Black Critter stamps which I love, the sentiment stamp is a very old one from a company called Butterfly Kisses, I loved their stamps but they disappeared very suddenly from the craft scene.  Hope you will vist the design team they have some fab samples on the challenge site.

Falling In Love

 Its time for a new challenge at Try In On Tuesday and as its coming up to Valentines Day the theme this time is Falling In Love.  I'm not one for making Valentine cards so thought I'd do a page for my journal. I haven't had these crazy bird stamps out for ages so enjoyed playing with them again. Background is brusho with various stencilling and a bit of ramdon text stamped. The design team have some beautiful inspiration for you over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay them a visit.

Fabulous foxgloves

 This is my first play with this gorgeous Pink Ink stamp. It’s a really big stamp so I had to make an A5 card, never made one as big as this before😀coloured with watercolour paints and a bit of background stamping with a Lavinia stencil.

January Blues

 Well the title says it all !  I have never liked January, always a dull month after Christmas and New Year but didnt even have them to look back on this time. Did have a lovely Christmas day with our daughter and husband but that was it.   The title actually refers to the latest challenge at Try It On Tuesday and I chose to do a journal page, just sprayed with glimmer mists ,bits of stencilling, random stamping, some splatters which don't show up much on here and three jolly snowmen to cheer it up a bit. I'm sadly lacking in inspiration these days, Mr Mojo seems to have permanently disappeared. I hope you all will visit the challenge blog and visit the DT who have some lovely workon there
