Touch of red

Here's my little card for Less Is more which this week asks for A Touch Of Red. My little card has a bit more than a touch and you would not believe how many goes I have had at making it ! When red ink and me get together it spells mess!  I,ve been using a Memento ink pad and its extremely wet, probably something to do with me storing my ink pads upside down, everytime I thought I was getting somewhere I got another smudge or smear on it.The swirly stamp is from a Stampin Up set my sister sent me and the centre round stamp is from a Stampin Up set I won in the raffle at a Stampin Up day yesterday. We had a great day making a decorated box and six cards to go in it and also a book with calender pages and pockets to store cards in ( plus there were loads of lovely scrummy cupcakes ! )

  1. Your card is beautiful Joan and red is very difficult because it has some very strong pigments in it, but you have created a gorgeous card. Sounds as if you had a great time yesterday am looking forward to seeing your makes. Don't suppose you saved me a cupcake did you....no I thought not........lol Have a great week, Annette x

  4. This is stunning, even if you had a few goes getting it right. I am scared when it comes to stamping direct to card! Sounds like you had a great time at the SU party.... lucky you.

  10. Joan, I struggle when stamping with red too! I ALWAYS manage to smear it either on my card or my clothes! Your finished card is beautiful!

  11. There's nowhere to run with a CAS design is there - a smudge is a smudge is a reason to start over! This came out beautifully in the end though, very classy look!
