Over the rainbow

Time for a some mid month inspiration over at Stamping Sensations where theme is Over The Rainbow inspired by the colours or the song.  For my card I have used the colours of the rainbow by sponging stripes of distress oxide inks and then spritzing them so the colours merged.  The zebras were stamped separately and fussy cut ( those skinny legs were a challenge!) I have previously tried masking or bleaching them but never very successfully. The stamps are all Inkylicious.  There is still plenty of time to join in the challenge but please make sure your entry has stamping as the focal point.

  1. This is wonderful, Joan - I do love that saying and I always love rainbow backgrounds :-) You're very brave to cut out those skinny legs. I tend to cut legs off and stamp them underneath, so that I only have to cut out the bodies... it helps when there are squiggly bits you can't possibly cut out, too. Lovely card with a great design!

    1. I did try that Cath but the white bits of the legs were coloured and looked odd. I quite like fussy cutting!

  6. A fabulous card Joan and you really have done a great job cutting out those zebras. I would never have known if I hadn't have read it. Love your background colours too. It's one of the best cards that I've seen using this stamp. Just a tip that might help regarding the bleach. It tends to work best when the image has been heat embossed as it doesn't then smudge. The only colour that I struggle to bleach out fully is blue, so I try to avoid it if I know that I'll be using bleach. If you are doing this already, then don't worry as your cutting out is amazing x
