Been trying to sort out some drawers full of wooden stamps with the idea that maybe I could get rid of some of them, needless to say they have gone back in the drawers with hardly any exceptions.During this I came across this pear stamp which is an old Anita one. It made me think that Autumn is not only about leaves but the harvest of fruit and grain etc. I got out my "proper" water colour paints for this one which is something I should do more often, just added the little punched leaves in the corner as it looked a bit bare. Wood mounted are the best Joan, I would be the same if I tried to thin them down. Great CAs card and the pear image is beautifully coloured. I picked a bagful from our orchard yesterday, the Conference are nice and mellow now, but the Williams still need a bit longer.

A beautiful card Joan. I think I wouldn't have thrown any stamps out either, You never know when you might need them.

ReplyDeleteYou definitely should use your 'proper' paints more often if this is the result Joan. Love this card. x
ReplyDeleteIt is a good idea to go through 'old' craft items, not much chance of throwing things away but you see things you forgot you had.
ReplyDeleteA great card.

Throwing away or passing on stamps is one of my big fails!!! I wish the year wasn't whizzing by so quickly so I could use more of mine!! I love this card and the leaves make an excellent addition! Chrisx
