Lets Go Outside

 

How time flies! time again for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time it's "Lets go outside"lots of inspiration from the design team over on the challenge site so hope you will pay them a visit.  All the stamps on my card are by Hobby Arts, I have a lot of their stampa and don't use them enough, after I'd finished this card I thought that maybe I could have stamped the farmer and his dog walking across the field but knowing my luck if I try to do it now would probably be a disaster !

Music

 

I seem to be on a bit of a theme at the moment, here's another music card .  Background made with distress inks and reversed inked stencil.  the figures are from an old Inkadinkado set ( wonder if they are still in existance ?) and the various sayings and music notes are from Creative Stamping magazines.

Dragonflies

 Saw a couple of challenges for dragonflies and as I love anything with dragonflies on I thought I'd enter them. Woodware Fennel stamp is stamped and embossed in white and random distress inks applied, the two dragonflies stamped and cut out and coloured with varios gilding polishes, very shiny and sparkly in real life.  I'd like to enter these challenges

Sing a song

 Where does the time go ?  it's another Tuesday and a new challenge from Try It On Tuesday and this time it is "Sing a song" so we would like to see your entries that are inspired by a song, some lovely inspiration over on the challenge blog so I hope you will pay the team a visit.

For my page you will have to be probably have to be as old as me LOL , go back to the 50's and the rock'n'roll taking us teenagers by storm, dancing along in the cinema to Bill Haley and the Comets , happy days !

On the water

 While I had some of my maritine/sailing type stamps out I thought I'd make another one for Cardsz4guyz challenge of on the water. Yet another old stamp, this one by Stampendous and a Stamping up embossing folder for the background.

I seem to have a bit of an obsession with my old stamps right now, the one I have used was a wood block one that I unmounted ages ago, must be over twenty year old I should think but still stamps perfectly. Embossed and stencilled background and the image mount is an old airmail envelope. I'm entering this into the

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is "Use pretty papers"  I have an over abundance of pretty papers mostly from my scrap booking days so was a pleasure to use some.  The design team have lovely samples over on the challenge site so I do hope you will pay them a visit.  We welcome all projects, cards, art journals, atc's , anything goes as long as it follows the theme so please join in !

Maritime

 There seems to be quite a few challenges about at the moment with a nautical/maritime theme so thought it a chance to play with one of my nautical stamps of which I see to have quite a collection for

some reason.  This one is an old one from Stampendous and hasn't seen the light of day for some time, the background is a waves embossing folder, no idea of the make as I never keep the packaging for them.  I'd like to enter a few challenges

 I got these feline stamps for my birthday back in April and this is the first time they've seen ink.  Just made an inky background with distress inks and a brick stencil, all the stamps are from Visible Image

Use three colours

 Its time for another challenge at Try It On Tuesday and this time it's use three colours (this does not include black ink for stamping or the colour of the base card)  We welcome all type of art, cards, ATCs ,art journal pages etc just as long as it is true to the challenge theme.  For my card my colours are blue, red and yellow plus the black stamping.  The stamp is from an Indigo Blu box set from last year or maybe the year before that and its first time of inking!  think it might be getting more use now I've sen how well it stamps and it makes a really quick card too.  

My Type

 Having another play with my favourite typewriter stamp and also another new woodware stamp with lots of number stamps. Background is distress oxides and Funky Fossil stencils.  I need to try and find some more small sentiment stamps to fit in the message space and then will fit  a lot more occasions

Seize The Birthday - number crunching

Summer Blooms

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is Summer Blooms and there is some lovely inspiration from the design team over on the challenge blog so hopefully you will pay them a visit. We welcome all kinds of crafts provided they follow the challenge theme so hope you will join in the challenge.  My card is quite simple as the stamp says it all, its a large stamp from Studio Light called Honey Bees, I'll probably add a sentiment when I know where its going. I deliberately kept the colours light as I do tend to be a bit heavy handed, I just used water colours and lots of water !.  

Chase the sunset

 I usually seem to make masculine cards in darker shades, blues and browns but I loved the wording with this stamp set and went with the sunset colours, all the stamps are from Visible Image Ride the wind set. This card is for our son-in-law's birthday, he seems to have a hobby of collecting real motor bikes !

Birds and/or feathers

 The new challenge at Try It On Tuesday is Birds and/or feathers. My first dilemma was which stamps to use as I seem to have a rather large collection of bird stamps accumulated over the years, I finally settled on yet another old set of stamps, this time from Oxford Impressions, I have made a page for my little Kraft journal using inky background, some stencilling and layers of stamping. It looked a bit flat so I thought it would be a good idea to drag out the sewing machine and sew round it, big mistake ! had to unpick the first try and by the time I'd finally finished the sewing took longer than making the page .The design team have some fabulous inspiration over on the challenge blog so hope you will pay them a visit

Vintage

 I got the latest issue of Indigo Blu box set in the post yesterday and last night intended having a play with the lovely stamps and stencils so how did I end up with this instead !  The elegant lady has been hanging around in my box of unfinished stuff for ages and for some reason I decided to do something with her instead,also found the Just Rite background stanp which made for a good background for her, the other stamps are all from the same set as the lady, a very old unmounted red rubber set that came from The Stamp Man shop back in the mists of time  I really enjoyed making the inky background with several different stencils and stamps and wasn't too keen on covering it all up .  This page will go in my little Kraft journal when I get round to making another page in similar style for a double spread.
