A Sewing machine, a sewing machine .......

I was lucky enough to win some stamps from Crafty Individuals last week and I have used two sets to make this card.  I love old sewing things and I even have an old Singer sewing machine in one of the round topped wooden cases, haven't worked out how to thread it though. All the time I was making this card I had the sewing machine song or maybe it was an old advert? running through my head.

  3. A lovely card Joan and these two stamp sets were just made for each other. I have an old Singer sewing machine with the handle on the side in my loft. I made all of my curtains with it when I first got married, then my FIL bought me an electric one for Christmas. I remember being over the moon with it and I still use it to this day. Bless him, it certainly made things easier for me. I need to get my stamps out again and have another play with them x

  6. It is absolutely gorgeous, Jean! I love it. There is a little Cafe near Meg's house in Sheffield called Memory lane tea roons that has several old sewing machines and typewriters dotted about as well as vintage china cups and plates

  7. So happy for your win! They are great stamps together and I really love the colouring on this! I think the song you are thinking of may have been by Doris Day but whoever it was, I shall be humming it all day now!!! Hugs, Chrisx
